Keigo huffed and puffed as he drove his bike down the streets. Supporting two people on one bike was harder than it looked. Toya closed his eyes and tightened his grip around his friend’s waist as he leaned against him. “Thank you…”
Toya’s words surprised Keigo so much that he almost swerved into traffic. “Shit!” Keigo stopped, and they stared at each other as a bus rushed past them. The heart in Keigo’s chest beat against his rips at double its normal speed. They had almost died. “Sorry! I… You just surprised me. Sorry!”
At first, a snort escaped Toya. It turned into a giggle and then full-on laughter. Keigo considered him with a confused look. Tears pricked at Toya’s eyes, but he did not stop laughing. His arms tightened around Keigo’s waist.
When he finally opened his eyes, there was a glint of sadness in them. “Is it weird that I would have been okay with crashing into that bus?” Keigo’s eyes widened. “What?”

A chill ran down Tsukishima’s spine and he bit his lip. “Arranged.” He heard a snort through the phone’s speaker. “And who arranged it?” Kuroo’s question made him giggle. “Yams. He cursed me for my past wrongdoings.” Kuroo joined his laughter. “Yeah, I can see that!” They slowly calmed down and gave way to silence.
Tsukishima gazed at the stars, watched them twinkle, and followed their constellations. The night air engulfed him like a blanket. At this moment, he was content. With his boyfriend’s breath at his ear, he breathed freely again. Expectations laid sleeping with everyone else. He didn’t have to pay attention to what he said or did. He didn’t have to worry about being cringe and what other people thought.
