After a difficult year (for many reasons) Tim goes back to Gotham to help Jason Todd reconnect with his family. Whether Jason wanted that or not, well, Tim had time to wear him down. Between the tutelage of Deathstroke and Lady Shiva, he was well equipped to handle himself as Jason's equal and hit Gotham's vigilante scene as the Buzzard. His parents were dead and the lonely cavity in his chest kept growing every day, but it didn't matter. Tim's mission could and would succeed despite his personal feelings and failures. He was fine and he had a job to do.

However, when she tries to warn Marco about it before Ace even joins the Whitebeards, it goes horribly wrong and leads to a drastic misunderstanding. Tessia doesn’t give up, though, but preventing the Whitebeards’ downfall is a hard task when you’re certain nobody will ever believe you anything and when you’re also certain you can’t let them know who you are.
This is an AU to ‘The Fate of the Fire’, but it can be read on its own. My OC is the same as is the basic premise, but the Original Devil Fruit works slightly different and this work shows the story in that case.

Tim's juggling his case load, his work as CEO, and does not have time to be embroiled in a sex scandal right now. If that means he has to pretend to date a very suspicious heir to a rival company, then so be it.
It's a mutually beneficial relationship. So what if Tim's becoming a little too intrigued by the illusive, powerful Phantom? So what if Danny can't stand the Justice League for leaving him to deal with all of Amity's problems when he was just 14? That's a superhero thing.
And their fake boyfriend has no clue that they're a superhero.
