Shane Hollander already learned the hard way what it feels like to lose the thing your life was built around. After hockey fell apart, he stopped letting himself need too much from anyone or anywhere.
Working together was never supposed to become personal. But somewhere between film sets, late-night drives, hotel rooms and quiet routines, actor and assistant slowly become something far more dangerous to each other: constant.

"It's got good bones," Shane said, to everyone who would listen, forestalling their totally valid concerns about depreciation and the novelty wearing off and like, subsidence. Boring stuff that Shane did not care about today because this was Ilya Rozanov's house. This was the actual house that Rozanov lived and died in, all those years ago. The man, the legend, and now – technically, if someone wanted to think of it like that, and Shane did – the roommate!
