Summary
Shane est un étudiant en droit brillant. Car Shane n'a jamais été autre chose que brillant dans ce qu'il fait.
Mais Shane n'est pas heureux. Il étouffe.
Un jour, impulsivement, il décide de partir en Russie, plus précisément en Sibérie Orientale. Là-bas, le lac Jack London, dans le raïon de Yagodnoye, oblast de Magadan, massif de la Kolyma, doit être protégé. Un projet de réserve est en cours depuis des années : le Chersky.
L'association BirdLife International, soutenue par la fondation russe Irina, dont le mécène n'est pas connu, cherche à y recenser la population nicheuse du plongeon arctique, l'Arctic Loon, le cousin du Common Loon canadien, le stupid canadian wolfbird.
Shane est recruté comme volontaire pour trois mois de prospection dans cet autre monde, l'isolement total.
Il ne sait pas encore que ce choix va changer sa vie - et que tout là-bas un homme taciturne, meurtri, Ilya Rozanov, va devenir son point fixe.
Home isn't always a place.

They were fucked, Sirius knew it, he just didn’t want to admit it because it was his foolishness that got them here in the first place. Here, in the middle of nowhere with no phone signal, completely and utterly lost.
or; sirius and james get lost on a hiking trip and are rescued by remus lupin, a handsome young farmer from a nearby village. sirius and remus fall for each other hard. they both have problems, both are oblivious and both are hopeless but somehow they manage to make it work and as it turns out, they meet each other at just the right time. also, james is utterly ridiculous.
