“Oh Steve. Stevie. Babe.” Eddie’s voice has taken on a manic quality that almost always means trouble.
“I am going to make so many things out of it.”

“Yeah I’m babysitting other kids.” Steve sighs, looking back at Beth and Annie bickering over one of their teddy bear guests.
“Other kids?! Kids that aren’t us? You’re cheating on us?”
Steve rubs at his temples, “It’s not like I have a secret family Henderson! Calm down.”
“You may as well have!” Dustin retorts something like hurt colouring his tone.

“Yeah, he’s like that with all of us. If we’re sick or hurt or something, he always comes and checks on us. It's a thing . If any of us don't feel good, we call Steve before we call a doctor,” Dustin explains.
“Huh,” Eddie says thoughtfully, “Is that why he left me his number?”
“Yup, I told you- Insurance Plan. How are you feeling, by the way? You sound better.”
Eddie blinks at the wall ahead of him. He does feel better now that he’s eaten and the medicine has started working. Both things that wouldn't have happened without Steve.

Summary
Driver keeps running into his next door neighbor, a teacher at the nearby middle school. One night he notices his neighbor being upset, despite not wanting to get personally involved in other's lives again, he asks what's troubling him. A quick introduction ensues but the teacher leaves to answer a phone call. Finding himself intrigued, Driver stays up to make sure the teacher returns home safe. After that encounter they keep bumping into each other with Driver struggling to not get attached and fall for one of his neighbors. Again.

"Colt! No!” Suddenly, Colt heard grunts and it sounded like the phone had fallen.

Ryland Grace was gone. Not dead, at least not for a while. He wasn't missing. He's just gone. Simply disappeared from the Earth, leaving behind a huge family that simply can't shake the grief of their missing family member. Ryland Grace was in space, unable to remember his family. His family was on Earth, unable to forget him.
