So it made sense that the best-known warrior's spiritual power was stabilized. At least that's what his family, the captains, Urahara, Yoruichi and his friends thought, since the remnants of his power seemed sealed.
While Ichigo spent his days at college, away from trouble with the rebel Hollows, people considered that he was enjoying his human life, as it should be, away from the dangers of years ago.
Too bad that felines have always been able to sense when their owners - or partners - are ready to die.

Ignis, of course, is not on board with this plan, even if he has no choice but to obey. He can't decide which part is worse: relinquishing control of his daily schedule to someone else, the fact that refusal means he suffers the consequences of disobeying His Royal Pain-in-the-Ass, or that he has to awkwardly navigate an entire week trying (and failing) to hide his infatuation with Prompto.

For a moment instead of a soft hand that had only known the luxuries of life he sees a shining bony hand in its place, Viktor glowing brilliant, resplendent in whites and oscillating pale colors. Viktor looks like how Jayce had known him in the 10 years before everything exploded into pieces around them. It's the same short flouncy hair, molten gold eyes, and boyish charm as Viktor stands before him in a starry field, glowing orange lights softly flickering in the background, as he beckons Jayce to him.
Jayce makes a new decision and takes the hand. At that moment the universe groans but neither of them can hear it. Something changes in the fabric of this reality and the wheel clicks back into motion as a new fate turns into place.
