"Luffy-ya…" Law’s voice was a thin thing, hoarse and broken.
Nika frowned, the wide smile on his face slipping into something else. Truer. Mournful. How easy it would have been to lose their healer. They would have if Nika hadn’t taken control.
“Not just Luffy,” Nika corrected softly. “But he is here as well.”
His other hand pressed flat against Law’s chest where the healer’s heartbeat still struggled on, stubborn and defiant, although the god could feel it weakening. No longer Law’s heart alone, not if he did not know how to care for it. It would be his now, theirs.
Ba-dum. Ba-dum.
“Too fragile,” Nika murmured and allowed his light to shine stronger.
Nika does not appreciate how breakable their little healer is. So he takes steps to change that.

Summary
Crocodile was the first to admit that the clown kept surprising him; it wasn't as if he had ever bought Buggy's non-sense weakling facade. He had been there after all, when both of them were going by different names and Blue wasn't shy to threaten someone with a dagger if they so much as twitched wrong in his brother's direction. Remaining in the East Blue had always been more about self-preservation and a broken heart, than about cowardice. Still, it seemed that ever since they had settled on Karai Bari, the clown had been slowly shedding all masks. Much to the surprise of everyone who did not know him as well as Crocodile did.
However, even the sand logia could honestly say he was surprised, when the clown revealed he could Shift.
And a Celestial shift at that.

"Oh?" Shanks' haki thrummed in the air, honed solely on the talking Revolutionary. Beads of sweat started building at his temples as his body trembled. Shanks could see Luffy's brother looking almost intrigued at him from another chair, Dragon continuing to remain silent.
"Quite amusing that the Revolutionary Army would think to start giving orders, especially after we took down another rule doing the same thing just days ago." The level of his haki increased, Sabo making a half-aborted step to move to the swaying Revolutionary. "Especially trying to give orders to an Emperor."
Vegapunk's last devil fruit was never supposed to be used in the war. When its powers catch the twins in the blast radius, Shanks claims his brother before the dust even settled. The bond is the easy part. Keeping a Holy Knight alive in a world that wants him dead - that's where it gets complicated. Especially since the devil fruit effects seem to be asking for something more.

Summary
"Gol D. Ace you -"
"I invoke the Gallows Law."
Ace had missed the black vortex that flared to life on the scaffold, purple lightning blinding before a hooded figure appeared next to Sengoku on the scaffold out of nowhere. Something about his tone familiar in a way that Ace had no way of placing. Not at the moment. His words, on the other hand, made no sense. The fire logia didn't know what a Gallows Law could even be, but it was nothing good considering the way Gramps stiffened at his side, his eyes almost haunted. Even Sengoku froze and stopped his dumb monologue.
Even the battlefield settled, voices suddenly going quiet, scents flaring with confusion as everyone froze in this moment until the newcomer repeated again.
"I invoke the Gallows Law. Until it is either accepted or denied you are not to touch Gol D. Ace."
The moment Figarland Shamrock invokes an ancient law to save Ace from execution, everyone assumes he has nefarious purposes in mind. The truth, on the other hand, might be more complicated than anyone expects.

Summary
Karai Bari was supposed to be safe. Safe and secure and free of overdramatic idiots. Hence why Buggy felt he was very much entitled to his reaction when he saw the World's Greatest Swordsman lounging in his tent.
"How the flashy fuck did you find me here?" Buggy screeched, keeping himself from coming apart just through sheer muscle memory alone. He had not been expecting Mihawk anytime soon - or ever preferably -, especially since he had gone to great lengths to hide exactly what island he had holed up on.
But nooo, he returned to his office and just had to find the swordsman sitting at his desk pretty as you please, sipping the only drink Buggy had around. Which wasn't even half-bad, making the clown pirate quite irate that half the bottle was already gone.
"I asked Shanks." Mihawk answered.
He asked. He asked Shanks. Buggy was going to strangle his dumbass brother. What the flashy fuck? He barely managed to get rid of Crocodile, his soulmate more awkward than Buggy had ever seen him in his life, switching between being his usual antagonistic self and almost praising him, and just when the pirate clown thought he was flashy fine his brother outed his location to Mihawk.

Summary
The Red Hair Pirates were different from other pirate crews in more ways than one. They had no Devil Fruit users on the crew. They were quite young compared to other crews. But the biggest difference was… they were all together. Together romantically. Realizing that they all loved each other had been a very natural development. It just felt natural. They had all always been close and that closeness grew into something else. A bond no one could break. That is... until those damned turtle neck sweaters.
This is a story about how the Red Hair Pirates overcame a horrible situation and started adopting a bunch of kids left and right.

It would be great to see how that teen had grown, was he more like his mother or Newgate perhaps?
A huff of a laugh escaped the darkness, followed by a deeper voice. "No, I'm not Baba."
Shanks jerked forward as Luffy, his son, older and taller, but he’d know his kid anywhere no matter the age, stepped into the ring of firelight, a wide D grin stretched across his face, straw hat sat firmly on his head. "Anchor!?""Hi Mãe." Luffy replied, still grinning and with a small wave.
