Ilya Rozanov suggests to Shane that he would be okay with Shane seeing other men while they are apart, on the road, if he wanted to. Shane reacts poorly and the subsequent fight and issues this causes is more of a problem than Ilya expected. He wishes he could take it back.
OR- A slightly longer look into that part of The Long Game when Ilya suggests this. I always wanted it to have a plot, instead of a few paragraphs. So here it is.

Summary
Rose doesn't know if Ilya Rozanov is hitting on her because the rivalry between him and Shane is more acrimonious than she assumed, or if he's just an enormous, moral-less asshole. Either way, she's certainly not going to cheat on her boyfriend with him. But Shane's reaction brings to light some secrets both men are keeping, and all of them are forced to grapple with how they truly feel.
A re-work of the club scene in which a jealous and hurting Ilya makes a pass at Rose.

Usually, Shane is one of the easiest people to read on planet earth. He wears his heart on his sleeve, even though he typically doesn’t intend to, and it’s one of her favorite things about him. Now, though, she’s at a loss, and she finds that she kind of hates the feeling.

Summary
David had a pretty good handle on how fucked Ilya’s childhood was. He wasn’t a moron. He knew that Ilya had worn a Boston Raiders’ shirt to his house in case he got violent against his own son. It made his whole chest ache, but they’d talked about it, dancing around it until he thought they came to an understanding. He’d honestly thought they’d worked through their tension and Ilya didn’t think he was going to be hurt in his home. He really did.
There was puke and blood on the floor, and David would be amused at how wrong he was if the situation hadn’t been so serious. He’d find it in him later to realize how good of an actor Ilya was, how skilled he was at faking that he wasn’t shit-scared of David every single minute of every single day.
Or Ilya, sick out of his skull with a fever and terrified, tries to protect Yuna from David.
