Two warm hands pressed over Ashlyn’s ears.
She opened her eyes to see Aiden leaned into her sleeping bag, hands around her head. He was several inches closer than a moment ago.
The sounds muffled and became a dull background noise as she locked her eyes with Aiden’s. He looked almost as startled as her.
Aiden’s blonde, uncombed hair fell in his forehead as he leaned over her, mouthing, Is this alright?
