Jabber’s eyes flared a vivid magenta. He let out a low, shallow hum, the sound echoing off the narrow walls as his head tipped only slightly to the side. That was never a good sign. He was scheming. Plotting. You could always tell when he got quiet like this, a grin tugging lazy and sharp at the corner of his mouth, eyes locked on like he’d already placed a silent bet.
“Sure ’bout that?” Jabber purred. Zanka didn’t know what shit he was about to pull. Only that whatever it was, he was not going to enjoy it one bit.

With a hum, Enjin snatches the wrench from Gris’ hand and reaches across the car to the line of tools Gris had laid out earlier. And he stretches further than necessary, making a point of letting his shirt ride up again to show off another thin line of black lace across his front, except this time, there’s a small blue bow sitting just above the button on his pants. Gris stares at that bow, throat running dry, mind picking up on the fact it’s new.
And the colour matches Gris’ eyes.
