    Dr. Laurel Knight has never wanted anything more than to be a the best doctor she can be. By the time she has come to the end of her Residency at PTMC, though, there's another thing she’s scared she might want just as much.

    When Laurel is accepted into the most competitive Fellowship program in the country, miles away from Pittsburgh, she's forced to think about the relationships she has made while working in the Pitt, and there is only one face that keeps popping up in her mind. The one relationship she can't actually have.

    Dr. Jack Abbot has never met anyone quite like her. From her first shift, where they had met only because he couldn't seem to bring himself to go home, he hadn't been able to tear his eyes away from her- the way she commanded the room, the way she spouted off solutions to problems like she'd been doing this as long as he had. It was obvious that she had probably read every single book on emergency medicine that had been written.

    As the two of them are forced to say goodbye, the time comes for them to finally recognize what they have been dancing around for four years, and to decide if the gravity pulling them together might be strong enough to save them.
