The big bear of a man is still resting easily, his posture relaxed, seemingly listening to Gus. But there's something in his eyes. Freddy swears on his mother's grave that there's some heat there, a lingering want that he is all too familiar with.
After all, Freddy is an expert in explosives. He knows heat and chemical reactions when he sees them. And Lassen is Michalangelo’s David in flesh and blood. A golden, tan god, all 6’3 and 225 pounds of him. There’s no denying that he is an attractive man. And if he wants something from Freddy - Well, he might just consider giving it to him.

Darcy was nice. Sergeant Barnes was quiet (and a little moody) but mostly also nice. It sounded like they’d had a very romantic and private wedding.
Bernard was sure they hadn’t had time to fill out forms SRT-932-A parts 1-7 or HGE-324-C to declare their new relationship status at work. He'd take care of it. He could also update their state and withholding paperwork for them.
Considering how busy they both were, it was really the least he could do. They both did so much for other people. They deserved some help every now and then.

All the better to keep them on short leashes. That included who their little Nazi fucks, well, fucked, dated and married. Not that Jack just wanted to fuck her. It went deeper than that. But he had to keep as low a profile as possible considering he and Rumlow were undercover in HYDRA on Nick Fury's orders.
It didn't mean he hadn't been watching the fiery intern since Coulson pulled in STRIKE Alpha to clean up when Thor appeared in New Mexico. Or in the years afterwards whenever their paths crossed.

Then there’s the apron. On one hand, it makes sense: Napoleon can be pretty precious about his clothes, so obviously he’d want to protect them. Even so, there’s something about Napoleon wearing one that makes Illya’s mind skip like a broken record. The top is too narrow on his broad chest, and the way it’s cinched in the back just emphasizes his tapered waist, like some parody of daintiness that doesn’t fit Napoleon Solo at all. And yet, somehow he looks like he belongs in it, like it’s the most natural thing in the world.
(Napoleon wears a lot of random aprons. Illya never expected to be affected by such things. Or, five times Illya sees Napoleon in an apron and has thoughts about it, and one time he acts on those thoughts.)
