Summary
“You know what kept me going, century after century?” Hob is angry enough, desperate enough, that his voice drops low, quiet. “Even when I had nothing?”
The music around them crests, waves crashing against the unyielding shores of time –
“Chimneys,” Morpheus answers, bland.
Oh, what a bastard.
--------------------
Or, dreams are memories, Hob reflects about life, and Morpheus learns a thing or two about what it means to be saved, and to be loved.

Summary
Looking back, it was easy to see that the red flags had been there the whole time, and Stan had just been excusing them.
It had started with a postcard.
“Please, come.”
It had continued with a request.
“Please, stay.”
It had ended with a resolute declaration.
“Please, don’t ever think I’ll allow you to leave.”
Or, in a universe where Ford is a little more firmly under Bill’s sway—and a little more crazy because of him—he doesn’t feel betrayed and decide to hide his journals. But he does still invite Stan up. And then he makes sure Stan can never leave him again.

Summary
It went like this. At first there'd been the pictures, weirdly hot shots of a hand down basic cotton underwear, a soft belly and cream white thighs. Simon hadn't known her then but the lyrics that came with the pics had convinced him she was a genius, a weird wild girl with a thing for polaroids. He'd liked that too, the polaroids. It meant his were the only copies of the pictures she sent, that no other asshole had access to her in quite the same way, and he'd enjoyed that.
From the polaroids to an actual life together, Simon attempts to learn how to say the things he feels. He doesn't like the process much, but he actually likes Patty a lot, so that helps.

Summary
The Duchess Approves is terrible. He wants to bleach every brick of his body just to purify himself of this three hour experience. He wants to pluck out his eyeball and treat it to a ten-day spa as reparations. He demands a sequel from the Axolotl during their next therapy session.
The Axolotl tilts their head. “There's no sequel. Only one movie has ever been made.”
Bill glowers. “But what happens after?”
“Production went into debt after casting big name Grampton St. Rumpterfrabble,” the Axolotl answers sadly. “Rumor has it he charges fifty thousand per letter.”
“Wonderful,” Bill drawls. “Real useful information. So what am I supposed to do now, doc?”
The Axolotl’s eyes gleam suspiciously. “I suppose there’s always fanfiction.”
Or: Bill hates a certain fanfic author almost as much as he hates the man who killed him. Crazy, wouldn't it be, if the two were the same person.
