Summary
That’s why it was weird for Ilya to be smiling at his phone right now. Until recently, Ilya never smiled at his phone, so Cliff knew there was a girl, and, Captain or not, Cliff was definitely going to tease the shit out of him.
“Are your slutty ways behind you, Cap?”
Rozanov looked at Cliff curiously. “What are you talking about, Marly?”
“You’re smiling and blushing at your phone, Rozy,” Cliff smirked.
“Russians do not blush.”
Cliff waved him off. “You’ve tried that on me before. I’m still not buying it because I can physically see you blushing.”
“Is hot in room,” he grumbled. “Is not blush.”
“Whatever you say,” Cliff chuckled before pressing further. “So are you pretending there isn’t a girl you’re texting right now?”
“I am not texting girl,” Ilya replied matter-of-factly. As if Cliff would believe he wasn’t texting a girl right now.
“Don’t know of any men named Jane.”

Summary
The front door of the cottage banged open and Ilya and Shane both tumbled out, shoving at each other and darting for the car.
“I told, I carry groceries!” Ilya protests. “First is ‘no carry bags, Ilya’, ‘how’s your ribs, Ilya’, but I am fine. Hollander. Hollander!”
“You don’t even know where the groceries go, there’s no reason for both of us- My parents can carry their own stuff! Rozanov!”
Ilya’s palms slapped onto Yuna’s car door, his breathing slightly elevated, cheeks flushed and a wide boyish grin on his face. “Got here first!”

Summary
“False pretenses.” Shane concludes. “You lied.”
“Maybe a little.” Ilya’s usual smirk is softer at the edges, though Shane can only really see half of it in this light. “I tell him I send flowers to you, thank you for easy win tonight.”
“We lost?” Shane frets. “How bad was it? Who played center while I was out? Tell me it wasn’t fucking-”
“Hollander!” Ilya interrupts. “You are telling me you did not even watch game? Stay here-”
Ilya makes as if to stand, and Shane hastily grabs at his arm to keep him from leaving, has to fight back the initial instinct to sink his teeth into Ilya’s wrist and hold him there like that.
“-I call hospital, tell them ‘Shane Hollander is sleeping in bathtub and does not know hockey score for own team's terrible loss, come quick, bring every doctor’.”
“Nooo, Ilya.” Shane groans, smiling. “Stop it.”

Summary
“Look, red!” Shane holds his clenched fist up triumphantly, and Yuna carefully steps over the baby gate blocking Shane’s doorway.
“Let me see.” she says softly, knowing full well that there’s nothing for her to see at all. The red string of fate that ties two souls together can only be seen by the people connected by it. Her own string leads her right to David, and she can only hope that whoever’s on the other end of Shane’s string is a worthy soulmate for her baby.
“Mine.” Shane, who’s never been possessive about any of his toys, is practically growling at her; stubbornly shaking his head. He wraps his free hand around his fist, pulling both close to his chest.
She tries not to find it adorable, and fails.

Summary
It's not the worst thing Cliff's ever done, by far, but he wouldn't exactly say he's proud of it either. It's surprisingly easy to get the number from Roz's phone, despite it being practically glued to his hand all the time. But 8 shots and 3 beers will do that to a man, Cliff supposes - even a Russian one.
He's doing this for Roz, and for the team. Sure, the boys had probably been joking when they'd mentioned going "straight to source" to solve The Montreal Jane Problem, but the last 6 weeks had been frankly unbearable. He wasn't sure what exactly Roz had done, but it had to be fixable. They'd been texting for years, for christ's sake. Undoubtedly messy and unconventional, but clearly this Jane was way more important than Roz was willing to admit. Maybe even to himself.
Maybe that was the problem.
