And Mike looked like he would do it. But then, he pulled away. He pried himself out of Will’s grasp, feet landing on the floor, backing away towards the door.
The movement sent alarm through Will.
“Please. Mike.” Maybe a more articulate request would’ve made him stay, but Will couldn’t seem to form the words.
“It’s okay, I’m just gonna get your mom.” Mike continued to back away. “I’ll be quick.”

I won’t have a freak of nature living in my house, he curls up and sobs as another stab of pain flows through him, I’ll tie him to a post outside and let someone take him.
Or: Mike Wheeler presents as an Omega and promptly decides no one else can know. It doesn't matter that it's killing him, or that Will presents as an Alpha and Mike wants nothing else but be his. Alpha Mike/ Omega Will 18mo + ST5 rewrite (Updated Summary)
It's in this moment, where Will has to sit to support the weakness in his limbs and hold back tears of relief, that he knows he's truly screwed.
And so is Mike.They're all in danger, they always have been, but Mike has a target on his back that he has no idea about. He doesn't know.
Vecna knows everything. He knows how much Mike means to him and it's not a question of if but when and how something is going to happen. Will doesn't know how to convey to him the danger he's in. The danger that Will has put him in by virtue of caring too much in the wrong way.
Unfortunately, Will doesn't get the privilege of having an internal weakness. His biggest weakness is walking and talking and reckless and ridiculous and Vecna would possess Will to kill him just for the joy of breaking Will.“I don’t want to hurt you,” he admits in a low voice. It feels like a dirty confession.
“You won’t," Mike says immediately, almost affronted, and Will wants to cry harder. "Why would you-”He's going to throw up. He's going to scream. Neither are going to help, so with tears in his eyes, he decides he won't let Vecna have this.
