Something about this moment felt meaningful, like it was meant to be. He gave in to the sudden urge to expose his throat further, giving the man better access.
He heard a rumbling growl in response, followed shortly by a sharp pain.
For a moment, his whole body froze as he felt the other’s teeth pierce his skin.
The pain vanished as quickly as it had come, leaving behind an intense feeling of warmth and belonging that ran through his body from the spot where the man’s head was now attached to him.
His eyelids fluttered shut as he surrendered to the feeling and let it consume him.
The last thing he perceived was the woody, peppery scent mixed with vanilla, which he hadn't been able to forget since he had first smelled it.
After that, only darkness remained as he lost consciousness.
