Summary
Harry Potter is so close to becoming the head of the auror department but the truth is he doesn't want it. Even though Voldemort and Dumbledore are gone his whole life seems to be mapped out and he is on a knife's edge.
He has no control at work and so chooses to work out his issues on men he pays to his submissives. There's a reason the saviour of the wizarding world has to pay for it.
Enter Snape - saved from the horrors of Azkaban but nobody will hire him. He can barely sell enough potions to afford to eat. He really has no options left.
I will update this as I go - at the moment I'm unsure if this will stray into dead dove territory. Regardless it's a dark fic.

When he discovers the betrayal of those he calls family and friends he decides enough is enough.Enough of a life full of lies, deception and the inconstant opinions of the Wizarding world.
The moment that travelling back in time becomes an option, the new Lord Potter Black does not hesitate.
What should he do? In the end, there is really just one path.
Hogwarts will be taken over, the Marauders face some competition, and Severus doesn't know what to do when the new guy starts flirting with him.

and Death has a very bad sense of humour(Soulmates Time Travel AU where soulmates have corresponding coloured marks on their body and when one of them dies the colours disappear.)

Severus grunted, annoyed just on principle. It wasn’t that he was being inconvenienced – not at all, really, but it still bothered him when the headmistress had Potter over. It wasn’t even him – he hated all reminders of the past, the war, the before.
All of them. His left forearm twinged and he hissed in annoyance. Potter. His arm always hurt when he thought about the brat – though he was near thirty now, he could admit without too much care. What that meant for his own age – well, he wasn’t fifty yet, and that was good enough for him.
A rap on the door had him jumping from his armchair, the hairs on his arms standing up in instinctive caution. Not fear – it wasn’t bad enough for that, but he could sense that whatever was on the other side of his door wasn’t quite right.
Wand drawn, he placed down his whiskey glass and stepped over towards the door. There was no evil or dark magic being cast – yet still, there was something out there. He cautiously opened the door – and came face to face with a familiar if terribly unwelcome smile and bright green eyes.
“Good evening, Professor. May I come in?” Potter asked, smiling.

Malfoy Manor.
Turning, Severus pulled out his wand, intent on appariting away, on returning to Last Landing, to Harry, as quickly as possible. But as he did a cry split the air, the sound of a shrill siren, the noise rending the quiet that had sat heavy over the manor and forest.
Severus’ attempt at apparition failed and he stumbled back, shoved by the wards that had collapsed down on top of him. Of course the Malfoys had an excellent security system.

Harry plans to live a life of peace with Severus Snape as his new guardian but things turn awry as dark lord and death eaters come creeping up to destroy it. They all better remember that monsters never leave, they only sleep, ready to be awoken.
