They’d mention it enviously as they glanced at his salad before delving into the various reasons they could never restrict themselves the way he did. A love for sweets or bar food. A hatred for running or lifting weights. It was always the same. And every time James would laugh warmly. He’d brush off their envy with his own, mentioning how he’d be eating the same way if it weren’t for football. How he’d surely devour a tub of ice cream once he was home or a few bars of chocolate.
