Summary
Theo and Buck have some bumps in the road to navigate when it comes to routines (especially sleep). A visit to a psychologist for Theo leaves Buck with lingering questions. Luckily, Eddie is there to help him navigate the uncertainty.
Meanwhile, Christopher has a new friend that becomes more. Eddie learns about this new relationship in a surprising way. Chris's maturity and open mind give Eddie pause to think through things in his own love life. He thinks he knows what he wants, but has a hard time actually naming it. He works through it with Buck on a late night phone call.
Christopher is done waiting for his dad to be happy and devises a plan for him to be able to finally accept that he wants to be with Buck. With the LAFD Family Carnival coming up, he conspires with Denny, Mara and Theo to give him a chance to do just that.
OR- Buck and Eddie learn more about themselves by following the examples of their kids, and it brings them closer together.

"Yours. Always yours," Eddie answers, sinking back against the headrest, face kissed gold by the morning light. He angles Buck a sidelong look, then adds a considerate, “unless you’d rather not. If you’re tired—”
“No, no,” Buck cuts in quickly, pinking at Eddie’s clear preference. “I’ll make us something. I like cooking for you.”
Eddie hums, pleased, and turns back to the sun. His lashes slide shut, languid as a cat stretched across sun-warmed concrete. “I like when you do, too.”
Or, truth serum: party of two. Unfortunately, they're the last to know.

Summary
“Hey. If you ever want another kid, I’ll do it with you,” Eddie says, all soft smiles and sparkling eyes.
Buck blinks.
“What?”
“I don’t think I’d raise a kid with anyone else. So if you decide you want a baby, and you’d be doing it by yourself, don’t. Do it with me,” he shrugs.
Someone has spiked the punch. The only sane explanation for what’s happening here is that someone has spiked the punch.
Or, Jee learns what cousins are and demands Buck give her one. She is nothing if not persistent. Also, it's Christmas!

“I’m sorry…” Eddie said, holding his hand out to stop the tumble of words falling from Buck’s lips. “You want to what?”
Of all the things he thought Buck wanted to talk about at breakfast, the breakfast Buck had asked Eddie if he wanted to grab at the end of their long shift, this was nowhere near it.
“Fake date.” Buck repeated with all the confidence in the world that Eddie didn’t believe for a second because what Buck was proposing was insane. “For the holidays.”
aka Buck and Eddie agree to fake date each other to get through dinner with their parents during the holidays!
