Summary
Featuring angelic crash courses, fluff and angst and emotions alike, Dean dealing with what he is inside, and a heaping pile of what I hope is sufficiently descriptive writing (all wrapped up in a winding, suspenseful plot):
Dean Winchester has always prided himself on his humanity. On being who he is, and not living on the same side of the line as the supernatural beings he'd been raised to hunt.
But what options remain when it's revealed that what he'd known himself to be was never the truth?
Dean's faith in who - and what - he is will be tested by new truths and shadowed by new strengths, and challenges he's never faced will stir and come to light (just in time for him to face them head on).
Will he find it within himself to fight and win?
Or is balance not in the cards for a being with power he's never before had to comprehend?
Author's note: This story is NOT DEAD. Just on a slow posting schedule due to health reasons. :')

Summary
Dean is running out of time to find a cure for the Mark of Cain. When he crosses a line, he has to take matters into his own hands. In a final act of goodness while he still has some left, Dean turns the First Blade on himself.
But it doesn't kill him. Not completely. He wakes up with black eyes and the weight of the world lifted from his shoulders. Now living in perfect synchrony with the Mark, it turns out becoming a demon was the only cure he needed.
Sam and Castiel, both falling apart in their own ways, will do everything they can to put Dean's pieces back together. Even if the cost is something none of them can come back from.

It took forty-six hours of sleep deprivation, a snake, and an unhealthy amount of coffee just to get here, but this time for sure it would pay off—he could feel it. No more bumbling in the dark, no more chasing after bullshit leads that were about as credible as second rate fairytales... He was done clutching at straws. It would happen tonight.

Dean has a plan, and like most of those, this one goes horribly wrong. As in—becoming a creature of the Lore and butchering his soul in the same night—wrong. He only hopes that whatever free-will he may or may not have isn't just another chip on someone's checkerboard of doom.

Summary
When something goes wrong on a hunt and Castiel is exorcised from his vessel, there’s only one option to save him: saying yes. And of course Dean’s going to say yes and let Castiel in. That’s his best friend. He just didn’t account for the whole “seeing each other’s thoughts and feelings” part of possession. Oops.

“If you’re talking about the time you ate all those souls…you had to be stopped, Cas.”
“I agree,” Castiel shrugged, “But would you have tried to kill me if I was human and had caused such chaos?”
A muscle in Dean’s jaw rippled, “We don’t deal with humans, that’s what the cops are for!”
“Dean…” Sam admonished softly, stricken.
Dean blinked, stunned by his own words. “I mean…I didn’t mean –“
Castiel swallowed, closing his eyes against a lance of pain in his chest that had nothing to do with the binding or the sigil. “Yes, you did. And its true, in any case.” Castiel gave him an out, but the words stung. He wasn’t human. Which meant he was – in a hunter’s mind – a creature.
An animal.
Something inside him felt like it was icing over...

Castiel is a seraph and a soldier. He doesn’t know how to be anything else. But knowing Sam and Dean Winchester has changed him in ways no angel has been changed before.
Not a human, not an angel. All he knows is what he’s not. When an ancient spell threatens to strip him of the free will he worked so hard for, Castiel has to re-learn what it means to be an angel, not just a Warrior of God.

Summary
Rainbows.
Innocent and vibrant, marking the change from rain to sun. So fleeting and leaving no trace.
And to Dean's luck, they marked a pretty major change in his life. Because angels, always freaking angels and their stupid pride that forces matters into his hands. Dean may just be a soul, but he's the Righteous Soul and screw Michael for taking control of his body! And while he's at it, screw everything else that dares and tries to mess up the first chance at stability he's gotten. He can fix this stupid mess Michael forced him into.
The only angel who gets a pardon is Cas, who's trying everything in his power to reassure to Dean. Yet with fading grace that can no longer keep the practically-human-angel together, Cas must push on, push his issues deeper, mend his friends. Although it's time Cas learned the last aspect of humanity, one the Winchesters don't know how to teach, before his ignorance lays him to rest.

Castiel’s breath trembles as he marches away from Mary Winchester. He’s managed to go years without drawing attention from Sam and Dean. Every being they’d ever met - friend or enemy – had poked fun at Castiel’s affections. But the Winchesters, they were too adverse to the idea of being loved by someone so new in their lives… they’d never believed a word. And he was thankful for their oversight.
Castiel won’t survive being told to leave again. Things had just began to feel normal. Dean had given him a room. Carved a place out for him inside the bunker, Dean’s home. Dean would be betrayed to know about his feelings… disgusted even.
Castiel sits at the table, eyeing Mary, the ticking time bomb. She looks back.

Summary
This is a tale that is mostly canon-compliant, but it resolves the Dean/Castiel rupture after episode 3 of Season 15 in a much different way.
I'm bad at summaries, but the gist is that Cas goes hunting on his own and Sam and Dean have to rescue him from a djinn. After that, everything changes between Dean and Cas as the djinn drained all of Cas' grace. Things are finally going Cas' way, for the most part, but something just feels...off.

Summary
Amara injured Castiel's grace and he's dying. He thinks the Winchesters won't care. Just how far will Dean go to prove him wrong?
“My grace has settled.” His voice sounds bitter to his own ears.
Dean winces, and he can practically feel the man draw away. From the way the veil drops over his open, inviting gaze to how his eyes now flit everywhere but to Castiel’s.
“You only did this to keep me alive Dean.”
“How do we know it even worked?” demands Dean, “You don’t even know for sure? Let’s just finish what we started.”
Almost amused, Castiel grins, “Well, seeing as I’ve had my grace for millions of years, I believe my opinion will do.”
“No! It – you – Jesus!” Dean hooks his ankles over Castiel and turns them so fast they almost tumble off the bed. Castiel realises what Dean wants… what he’s trying to do.
He wants this to continue as much as Castiel does. But he’s too scared to ask. Castiel can see the shame swirling in his eyes, filtering back into his brain like poison. Dean will destroy himself over this whether or not it happens.
He brings his lips to Dean’s once more shifting his hips so that the tips of their erections graze each other. “Let’s finish this Dean.” -

On a hunt gone wrong, Castiel is left Graceless and Human, separated from the Winchesters. Claire comes to his aid, and soon the pair team up to find his Grace. The two set off on an ABBA sound-tracked, Dad-joke filled road trip, in the hopes of finding Castiel's Grace before Claire strangles him.

Taking a year off from hunting to care for a pregnant angel wasn't exactly part of Dean's life plan. Although Castiel knew angels could reproduce, he never expected it to happen while he occupied a male vessel. But it happened. A tiny half-angel, half-human baby girl was born under the supervision of an angel doctor in San Francisco and the new fathers called her Erica Millie after Dean's father's middle name and his equally tiny grandmother. The unexpected life Dean and Castiel built together with their new baby includes Sam and his new girlfriend, Kelly, who is a descendant of the Men of Letters as well. Dean wonders if any of them have any idea what they're in for with a brand new baby.

Both of them are lost on what to do, so they find comfort with one another until they work up a plan to save the both of them before their time runs out. This story takes place sometime between after Hannah left her vessel, and before Dean kills Cain.

(Sequel to Lost Brother)
While Lucifer slowly regains his powers, he thinks about humans. "Are they really that bad? Probably yes." But he isn't the only one to question his motives.
Gabriel doesn't know if he can trust Lucifer and decides that they need a plan B, if something goes wrong.
At the same time, Team Free Will starts hunting again and Sam has to face some Demons of his past.
Although Dean knows that Cas loves him and vice-versa, this doesn't mean that all of his problems are suddenly gone, especially when a wannabe warlock wants Sam's body.
Apart from that, Azrael just tries to negotiate between the Archangels, but what happens, when someone shows up, nobody is really happy to see?ABANDONED
