Summary
Three years after inexplicably escaping the digital circus, Christine (Pomni) struggles to feel alive again. After returning to urban exploring but finding no thrill in the activity, she finds another, more bold idea. Having long given up on finding her friends from the circus, she was absolutely floored to have found Felix (Jax) in the most unexpected of places. That I should date you??”
“Because holing up alone in the dark and stewing in your feelings until you mutate is a better idea?” she asked flatly. “I am so tired of fighting to be allowed to be close to you. Especially when I care about you and I’m pretty sure you also care about me.” She flopped onto her back in frustration, still holding his hand in hers. “Even though I don’t know what the right thing to do for you is … I love you, and I’m going to keep you from losing your mind in here if it kills me.”
