Before long he's getting way too attached, and he doesn't regret it at all.
Jamie signs up for bantr even though he's not sure what he's looking for; Sam made it sound like a good idea, anyways. He has no reason to keep messaging a stranger who's not even looking for a romantic connection. But Jamie finds the guy charming, despite all the bad puns, and it's not long before affection escalates into something a whole lot more distracting.

After Molly Weasley reports shocking abuse on the part of Petunia and Vernon Dursley, Albus Dumbledore makes an official decision to Turn A Blind Eye. After all, the Dursleys *are* the key to Harry's Blood Wards. Though McGonagall is appalled, she is ultimately unwilling to take a stand against Albus.
Enraged at this dual neglect, Severus Snape decides to take matters into his own hands. Little does he know that his attempts to modify Harry's Blood Wards will result in *accidentally adopting* The Boy Who Lived. Shocked and horrified, Severus is left with no choice but to move forward as best he can. After all, there's no use crying over spilled potions. . .
This fic is set just after the Weasley siblings rescue Harry from the barred window/canned soup/cat flap situation in Harry Potter & the Chamber of Secrets. Perhaps it would be safe to confide in someone with a natural talent for Occlumency, an accomplished liar who could spy for both sides but would ultimately be on the side of light? Yet this Severus Snape is not the accomplished Potions Master she once knew and trusted. She decides to strike a deal with him, and they come to an accord, secrecy for each of them, Occlumency lessons for her, and revenge against the Marauders for him. Hermione supposes revenge isn’t a very heroic, Gryffindor thing to do but she has always been good at making plans, and really, if the school administration won’t punish a bunch of bullies then taking it into their own hands is only practical.Series

Summary
Twenty-three isn’t old—at least, not in the grand scheme of things. But by Lady Magic, it feels ancient. Severus has survived more than most: a charismatic narcissist, a war, years spying on that narcissist and his cult, and nearly constant torment from age eleven to seventeen. His mother’s family refuses to take the hint, and, as if that’s not enough, there are the triplets he discovered stashed under his bed. Thankfully, Minerva and his mother seem to have childcare handled while Severus dashes about, barely holding it together.

Harrison is the eldest. Protecting Mione and Ron is his responsibility—by any means necessary. The Silver Lady promised they’d be safe here, in this house heavy with sorrow and strained magic, but Harrison isn’t sure he believes it. Mione, ever perceptive, insists she can sense bad people, declaring, "they look wrong, scary." She assures him, this man is not scary. Ron says he feels safe. The place reminds him of candy floss and carries the Silver Lady’s scent. She’s never harmed them before.
