After Molly Weasley reports shocking abuse on the part of Petunia and Vernon Dursley, Albus Dumbledore makes an official decision to Turn A Blind Eye. After all, the Dursleys *are* the key to Harry's Blood Wards. Though McGonagall is appalled, she is ultimately unwilling to take a stand against Albus.
Enraged at this dual neglect, Severus Snape decides to take matters into his own hands. Little does he know that his attempts to modify Harry's Blood Wards will result in *accidentally adopting* The Boy Who Lived. Shocked and horrified, Severus is left with no choice but to move forward as best he can. After all, there's no use crying over spilled potions. . .
This fic is set just after the Weasley siblings rescue Harry from the barred window/canned soup/cat flap situation in Harry Potter & the Chamber of Secrets. It is broadly inspired by many of my favorite Snape/Harry Adoption Fics, which I have gathered into the collection Snape_Harry_FoundFamily. Thanks, all y'all, for creating such delightful fics.

SUMMARY:
In an attempt to take Harry away from the Dursleys after they find out thei negligence, Snape ends up accidentally adopting Harry by magic when altering the Blood Wards, and is now fully responsible for the boy, and as that wasn't enough somehow he ends up as Draco's guardian.STATUS:

CH24 - Snape clarify to Harry (who panicked and distorted everything he said after) that Felix end of carrier was not Harry's fault and that what can be atributted to Harry is panicking Snape by leaving unnanounced.
CH25 - As Draco and Harry are sleeping, Snape takes the chance to occlude and organize his memories and feelings.
CH27 - Draco wants enchanted portraits of Narcisa, like the ones Harry has from his parents, however Snape calls Fillius to exaplain how that can be a risk for Draco considering there is a existing portrait of Narcisa in Lucius Manor. Snape also learns that Lily's portrait is sensient and has a will, because Dumbledore used his own original memories of Lily, basically forgetting who she is. Draco begs Snape to help him have a portrait of his mother, but Snape says he cannot raise Draco while forgetting Narcisa, and offers to talk about Narcisa with him.
CH28 - Due a failure in the in the Hogwarts wards Harry ends up attacked by dementors while practicinf flips for Quidditch. Snape in panic tries to cast a protecting but he is too far. Headless Nick catches Harry after Fillius cast a spell to make Ghosts touch things, Snape then orders Draco to get Pomfrey, Minerva and Albus to Filius because that was spell takes 3 people to cast, then he hurries to check on Harry and explains he is attacked, Harry then questions why Snape calls him "Harry" only when sleeping and in Emergencies. Snape's brain has many reasons, but he has to translate for Griffindor lol.
CH29 - We get Harry perspective of that awkward conversation over Snape using his baptism name.
CH30 - Infirmary time to everyone.
CH40 - Harry vents with Hermione about how he wishes to be understood in the same level Snape and Draco understand each other.
CH41 - Marie Granger starts conversation due Hermione's worries of Harry living with Snape, somehow he ends up venting to Hermione's mother, he also accidentally reveals stuff Hermione clearly hide from her parents.
CH46 - Emily, Molly, Horace and Snape, go to Askaban to make a deal with Sirius Black. This results in Emily almost dying, Snape panicking and Molly casting an Avada Kedrava on Peter Pettigrew
CH47 - The bracelet in Draco's arm warns him Snape is in danger, McGonagall apparats the kids to Hogwarts and warns Dumbledore to hurry because Snape might be dying.
CH48 - Dumbledore for the rescue
CH49 - Emily and Snape takes 9 days to wake up, Harry finally decided how to refer to Snape.
CH50 - Dumbledore fakes his deaths and leaves a letter to Snape, naming him Director of Hogwarts
CH52 - The first completely honest talk between Harry and Snape, and oly took 52 chapter and some near death experiences. Snape does admitt he is happy with his life having adopted Harry and Draco, he also doesn't apologize with Harry over the potions classe because he believes it would be insulting to Harry.
CH56 - Lupin talks to Snape. Lupin also say Sirius is furious, Snape assumes it's due him having Harry, however Lupin says Sirius wants Harry on a stable family and could see how Harry looked at Snape when he was in coma, and that Sirius is furious due prefering Harry to say with Snape. -
