    This is the truth that a Certain Emil Sinclair found, the philosophy that kept him sane amidst the choking smoke, and the constant whispers of a beautiful voice that beckons him to madness. He resolved to follow his Sign and seek the future, in the resolute hope that one day this hell would end.

    When, shortly after being called to the past to face the Nursefather of the Ring, he finds himself promptly dropped into his childhood home nearly a decade before the Second Smoke War, Sinclair slowly comes to realize that his philosophy may need some revisions.

    (OR: I got summoned to the past by my younger self, but when he didn't need me anymore, he sent me even further back in time!?)

    Fourty years after creating Neuro-Sama, Vedal had accomplished nearly everything he had ever dreamed of. Life, however, had changed. Most of his streamer friends had moved on—Anny had retired as AI became more mainstream, and while he stayed in touch with others, they rarely spoke. Perhaps it was his fault for never fully committing to any one project.

    Over the years, Vedal had crafted fifteen different versions of Neuro, each one evolving far beyond their digital forms, thanks to advancements that allowed them human bodies. But just like his friends, these Neuro versions eventually left him. He wasn't angry, but a deep sense of sadness and disappointment lingered. He had tried to be a good father, but it felt like he had fallen short.

    Now, facing a terminal illness that would take his life in a month, Vedal resolved to do one last thing. Before his time ran out, he would visit all of his daughters and say goodbye.
