Summary
Mannequins are not, in common understanding, meant to move, or to speak. They certainly aren't meant to moan, whine, beg, buckle at the knees, or cum in the clothes being fitted on them.
Unfortunately for Bella Saltzman's volunteer mannequin, she's bound and determined to test the limits of his restraint.

Summary
The candle cupped in Oscar’s hands is half-burned down. The wax has dripped down its sides, pooling in the bowl of his palms, oozing between his fingers and splattering onto his thighs. His God stands behind him, one hand on his head, petting softly at his hair.
“To summon me, you need only light this candle,” Arthur had said, “I will remain as long as it burns.”

Summary
Things have already been bad. String-of-mangled-bodies-turned-trafficking-investigation bad. And that’s on top of the standard every-day kinds of bad the job always is—shit like Fowler breathing down his neck about his goddamn “attitude problem,” and Anderson’s pet bot strutting around the office turning himself into everyone’s favorite computerized puppy, and the coffee machine in the breakroom still being busted even though apparently they had the spare cash lying around to get a second fucking detective-droid.
Oh, yeah. They have a second one now. RK900—the absolute bleeding edge of law enforcement technology. And because God has a sick sense of humor and a personal vendetta against him, specifically, he’s had it attached to his ass as a carbon-fiber babysitter for the past week.
Or, an examination of how Gavin Reed comes to understand (and maybe even like. A little. Maybe) the RK900.

Summary
"Leon's eyes refocused on vast expanse of the ocean in front of him, a bit more awake, the light breaking through the clouds hitting the swells, turning the water jewel tones of blue and green, the foaming mist pearls to crown them. It almost felt…wrong, the sight of it. After a day — a few days? he had lost count — of blood, gore, and twisted, deformed horrors that at times sent a shiver down even his spine, it didn't feel like he was allowed to look at something so serene. The way the light danced over the the water, sparkling, the beams of it visible as it shone through the clouds, a technically beautiful sight that only made something uncomfortable squirm in his chest, like the phantom of the plaga he had been injected with, it so desperately wanting to be remembered. Well, it didn't have to worry in that regard, Leon would be remembering that feeling for a good long while."

Summary
“I dunno, it’s enough to make a fella feel he ain’t quite right, yanno?” Noel ends his soliloquy and Charlie remembers he's supposed to at least pretend to care.
Charlie shrugs, “maybe you don’t like what she’s offering.”
Noel’s eyes narrow at him, “The hell are you implyin’, Chuck?”
“Oh— Jesus— no, Finley, that ain’t—“ he sighs and pushes his hair off his face, taking another drag of his cigarette before leaning his head back on the wall behind the bed. “Look. What I’m trying to say is. You know she’s good, because Tommy said she’s good, yeah? You ain’t Tommy, if she’s blowin’ you like she blew him, there’s gonna be some problems. You might have to tell her what you like.”
“How the hell am I supposed to know that? She’s the first gal who’s ever come near me like that.”
“Talk to her? Find out with her?”
“That’s some pansy shit, Chuck. Men don’t “talk to her,” you’re supposed to know. She ain’t ever gonna come near me again if I go about it like that.”

The shattering of glass in an abandoned lab. Magazines of bullets unloaded into computer screens and technical equipment. Flames erupting in a room beyond humanity.
Why is this so hard to push away?

Exhaustion, frustration, anger, fear: she could deal with these things. But in a room above the city— with the yellow flickering of distant streetlights, and the only man that never let her down— safety broke Ada Wong.
