Summary
For a moment I let myself be swept in by this amazing wonderful feeling, I felt so overwhelmingly happy, happier than I’d ever been before. I heard catcalling and the obnoxious sound of exaggerated clapping from pads and moony from the periphery, but I felt as if nothing could bring me down from this high.
That is, until I noticed the gaze of the beautiful boy in front of me dart continuously from me to behind me. The action was so minute, so imperceptible that I almost missed it.
But I did, which was more than enough to bring me crashing down from that euphoric high I felt could never end just a few moments prior.or in other words

Daniel caught Max hiding behind the corner of the hallway that led to the restrooms, waiting for Charles to leave before he re-emerged. Daniel waved him over, and he stopped next to Daniel with his eyebrows raised.
“I can see why you liked him. He’s very handsome.”
“Daniel.”
“And very well-built.”
“Please,” Max groaned.
“I’m just joking,” Daniel laughed. “Okay, half-joking. He is handsome.”
Max rolled his eyes. “Fine, we can joke about it.”
“I can do anything I want today.”
Credit to Max, he did let Daniel do anything he wanted that night, and Daniel might have loved many people in his life, but truly none of them had been like Max.
