Summary
With the Cluster bubbled and the planet safe, the Crystal Gems begin to settle back into their standard routine. Peridot is curious to continue learning about her new allies and their unique way of life on Earth, despite enduring thoughts of betrayal to both her Diamond and her former home planet.
Various oneshots focusing on Peridot and her interactions with the other Gems, and maybe even a few humans here and there. More tags will be added in future updates.
Note: This story was drafted quite a while before End of an Era confirmed Peridot's actual canon age and my headcanon at the time was that she was the youngest of the Gems, even a couple years younger than Steven. Despite this obviously not being the case in canon, future chapters will continue this trend and all interactions Peridot has with other characters are meant to be interpreted as purely platonic.

Summary
While the Crystal Gems are in the process of tracking Peridot down for good, Steven isn't so willing to believe she's as dangerous as the Gems may think. A heartfelt conversation with the stray Gem seems to confirm his suspicions and now Steven is determined to keep their newly formed companionship a secret. But how long can it last, especially when his new friend is still determined to find a way home?

The beach house was completely quiet, with the only sounds to be heard in the smothering silence being those emanating from the storm outside. As more tears escaped from the corners of her reddened eyes, Pearl turned to glance up at the loft. Through the inky darkness, she could just make out a small figure resting on the bed, not having moved from the spot for over a week now. She let out a despondent sigh, painfully aware that things were never going to be the same, for any of them.
