Summary
AU from Operation--Annihilate. Spock's sight does not return and he faces transfer off the Enterprise. While Kirk is still reeling from the events on Deneva, Spock turns to an experimental technology in order to stay on the ship. Everything seems to be going well until Kirk and Spock are trapped on a mysterious planet where Spock must push himself beyond his limits to save them both -- and Kirk and Spock are forced to admit a few things to each other.
