Beomgyu knew it was over.
He had known this for a while, but he never allowed himself to admit it up until now.
A part of him always thought that, maybe, if he just pretended that nothing was wrong, if he just pretended that they were fine, then they really would be. Fake it until you make it, right?
However, it has come to a point where it has become impossible to even pretend.
Yeonjun and him were over.
It wasn’t official yet, but he knew that it was just a matter of time.
He knew that after almost seven years spent together it was time to say goodbye.
He just didn’t know how.
Or, where Beomgyu tries to desperately hold onto his and Yeonjun's failing relationship, almost succeeding.

Summary
Yeonjun thought that he was in love with Beomgyu, once. Back in college. So naive. Now he's almost thirty, and he knows that love comes with pain and sacrifice. That's why his wife has left and won't tell him when she's coming home, that's why his daughter who adores him accidentally destroys everything she touches.
Love is more raw and real and emotional than anything that Yeonjun ever felt with Beomgyu. He still misses him, though. Life was simple back then.
(Life becomes a smidge more complicated when the idea of divorce appears on the horizon, and when Yeonjun meets his daughter's brand-new preschool teacher, who has a very different outlook on what happened between them seven years ago.)
