Ya, ia paham betul tentang kekhawatiran ibunya, namun dengan alasan apapun Woo-jin tetap tidak akan menghiraukannya. Ia memutuskan untuk kabur dari stigma yang dicap oleh keluarganya dan menjalani kehidupannya dengan bebas.
Kebebasannya tidak bertahan lama, ketika suatu kejadian "sial" pada malam itu menghampirinya.
Saat itu, Woo-jin sedang menghadiri acara perayaan film yang dibintangi oleh ibunya. Woo-jin meneguk segelas wine dan tanpa disadari ia sudah dalam keadaan mabuk, jalannya mulai sempoyongan hingga ia tak sengaja menumpahkan isi gelasnya itu ketika menabrak seorang pria berjas hitam.
Woo-jin refleks membungkukkan dirinya untuk memohon maaf. Belum sempat ia terbungkuk sempurna, tubuhnya mulai kehilangan kestabilan dan hampir terjatuh sebelum kedua lengan besar melingkari pinggang rampingnya.
Woo-jin dengan ekspresi terkejut menatap dalam mata milik pria yang telah menolongnya. Hanya semesta yang tau sudah berapa lama mereka berdiam diri dalam posisi itu, dan hanya Woo-jin yang tau, bahwa ia secara tidak sengaja telah membuat pria itu jatuh cinta kepadanya.

Looking from the outside, Max and Charles are the perfect pair of mates: they have been rivals in childhood, had their ups and downs until finally starting courting and getting together. Max’s chest felt like it was being compressed by a vice. He closed his eyes for a brief moment, trying to centre himself, but the air in the garage felt thin.
He fought the wave of dizziness, his vision swimming at the edges, “I don’t need my hand held,” Max replied, voice dangerously low.
“Then prove it,” Charles countered, “because right now, you’re just proving everyone who said you were past your prime right.”
The comment was so biting, so casually cutting, that he felt as though he’d been physically struck.
