Andrew is watching him from the desk. He doesn't see it so much as he feels it, the loaded weight of Andrew's steady gaze as he watches Neil try to make sense of the lazy haze overtaking his limbs. The floor is hard beneath him, carpeted and rough against the bare skin of his legs where his shorts have ridden up. Jean — scoffed. Dammit, Neil's unshakeable confidence was so hot sometimes, even if it pissed him off. "Who says you're not just the only one available?" Neil rolled his eyes, not buying it, so he decided to be a little more honest. "I need someone who will take criticism well."
Neil raised a brow. "You say that as if you're hard to please," he challenged.
Jean shrugged. "I will be tonight," he warned.
"I'm sure I can give you what you need," Neil answered, still perfectly calm and confident.
