Summary
Ominis Gaunt is a transfer student from London, planning to attend college in Oklahoma of all places. To hopefully gain some field experience, he moves to the US a few months early.
This whole summer was just supposed to be about chasing storms. Instead, Ominis meets Sebastian Sallow, a fellow storm chaser without a degree and flashing a reputation of being wildly reckless—his team no better.
A modern AU fueled by my obsession with the movie Twisters with virtually nothing relating to the actual game. Also this will probably be inaccurate. Who says a blind person can’t storm chase if he wants to?

Summary
Ominis Gaunt wants nothing more than to push down the dangerous feelings brewing for his best friend, continue moving forward from the direction his past pushed him in, and treat 5th Year like any other year. Unfortunately, he is all too aware of the tension that follows the new fifth year around like a black cloud.
Solar Blackthorn arrives at Hogwarts five years too late, with a lot of pent up anger, and a vendetta against a student he doesn’t even know. He’s got one goal running circles in his head: make Gaunt’s life a living hell. He’ll do anything to anyone to make that happen.
Work title and all chapter titles are from the song “Don’t Let Me Go” by Tom Odell. I Highly recommend giving it a listen!

Summary
Dennis wasn't a self-pitying person. Not at all. In fact, he tried his damnedest to see himself the way God saw him, with little to no care whatsoever. So no, these were purely logical questions. Dennis didn't deserve to be here; he was merely place-holding. So, in what sense would it be right for him to steal food from a hospital?
But he was so, so hungry. It was becoming difficult not to indulge himself for once, and Dennis was having trouble rationalizing why he should be allowed food.
Yes, his only purpose in life was to heal people who were meant to be here, but it wasn't like he was that good at it. There were others much more capable. Then again, there was no way he would be able to work with the hunger he was currently feeling. Five days with absolutely no sustenance created wicked ideology. He just hoped God could forgive him... If he were even watching.
Dennis already knew he was evil, so this line of thinking would just have to work.

In other words, Dennis has the worst day of his life, and the religious guilt doesn't help one bit.

“You were in an accident. Please, listen to me. Get back on the bed.”
Dennis stills at that, giving him that same, blank look from before. Robby wants to shut his eyes. He never wants to see it again.
He tilts his head. “Accident?”
“You were—” Robby says, and doesn’t miss the desperation in his own voice. “I just told you. You were in an accident. Don’t you remember?”After an argument about Robby’s resignation from the Pitt, Dennis gets into a car crash that makes him unable to retain short-term memories. Including the fight they just had, and Robby’s imminent departure. It’s up to Robby to nurse him back to health, and choose which truth to tell him.
Or, Dennis gets anterograde amnesia.

He’s eight again, he thinks. He’s eight again, and his dad just threw him into the kitchen wall after he had hid under his bed on Easter Sunday, because he didn’t want to go to church. It’s so boring, and it takes so long, and he wants to stay home and play with the lambs that were born just that morning. He thinks he can smell the earthy smell of the hay and soil from the farm, floating around and mixing with the antiseptic smell of the room he’s not quite sure he’s in. He’s eight again, and he had made his entire family late to the service, and he is a bad son. His eyes are closing again, and he tries something he hasn’t resorted to in years.
“Please, God,” he thinks, “let me be okay.”
OR
Dennis Whitaker hasn’t had contact with his family in years. After getting assaulted by a patient at work, he begins dreaming of his simple life before Pittsburgh; a small family farm in Broken Bow, Nebraska. Something deep inside of him is telling him to go home and rekindle broken bonds.
Except he really shouldn’t.

Summary
“Come here, kid.” One of Robby’s hands catches Dennis’s and lands against his sternum, trapping his arm against his chest, while the other stays in his hair, fingers winding into damp curls. Dennis’s attention is everywhere and panicked. He catches a flash of Perlah readying the needle and a desperate sound punches out of him.
“Nope, don’t look at that,” Robby says, using the hand in his hair to force his head back, angling his vision away from the commotion and up towards him. Dennis’s eyes lock onto his, pupils blown wide. “Look at me. Yep, good. I’m right here. You’re doing so good, honey. Just keep those eyes on me.”
The IV tourniquet snaps into place and panic flashes anew in Dennis’s face. ”Robby—”
“I know. It’s just Dana and Perlah. We’re just pushing some fluids, no more drugs. You’re safe.” Out of the corner of his eye, Robby can see Perlah speeding through what has to be the fastest IV placement of her career, Dana keeping her grip on Dennis’s hand to stop him from jerking away. Dana shoots him a glance of warning and Robby tightens his hold. “Okay, quick poke now. Still just us. Deep breath, Dennis. I've got you."
