She couldn’t remember the last time someone had touched her like that. With such a simple gesture, a hand rested over her arm, Sirius had held her steady, calmed the panic in her chest.
When Sirius pulled away, unable to think of an excuse to keep standing there any longer, it was her turn to grab him and prevent him from running away. Her grip on his wrist was weak, but he didn’t try to pull away or escape.
“Stay,” she rasped.
“Okay,” Sirius said with a sigh, giving her a weak smile.
