The last two years have been weird for Chase. Like, 'turns out Robbie's an Omega' weird. Chase guesses it explains a couple of things? Like how he can be so fucking dangerous sometimes, like he's trying to out-Alpha every Alpha, brave becoming crazy, strong becoming cruel. Most heroes hide their scent for security reasons, and people tend to assume they're Alphas. Works out for actual Alphas like Chase.

Summary
The first heats after an Omega's child is born are pretty much always what people call 'dry' heats, as opposed to the 'wet' kind that people are usually talking about. Dry heats are more about bonding than reproduction, on the physical level, so it makes sense for somebody with a new baby to just want to cuddle their baby and reaffirm their bond with their mate, and make sure that their home and everyone in it is safe.
Robbie coping with the return of his heats, having feelings, and sharing his first wet heat with the guy who is his mate, even if he doesn't like to say the words out loud.
