He hates how badly he loves that feeling in his chest, how his heart squeezes, how he gets overly sleepy when around them- how disgustingly pretty they are.
But he keeps his nails stuck in the palms of his hand, his tongue bit between his teeth, and his heart trapped away behind a cage, because he can't tell them. There's no way he could ever.

Summary
Grief was never an easy subject, a pain that never really left, just went from an open wound to a scarred one.
From the second Vessel had met the guitarist, he knew the other had been suffering from some heavy grief, one that was too heavy that a simple new role in the life IV always wanted, was still nothing to help the aching in his chest. It just pushed the grief aside for the time being.
Now Vessel felt like he could taste the grief on his own tongue.
