First impressions are often wrong. Steve’s first impression of Eddie was that he was a crass older alpha with too many tattoos to ever possibly be gainfully employed. Eddie’s first impression of Steve was that he was a young uptight omega who needed to get the pretentiousness fucked right out of him.
Their first date was an absolute disaster, but the one night of passion they spent together afterwards was a decent consolation prize… At least until the pregnancy test shows up positive a few weeks later.

Eddie's gaze lingers on him. Soft, fond, and just for a moment Steve feels a bit like a bug in an enclosure himself. Specifically, one of Eddie's favourite little bugs.
Something wet hits his shoulder.
Outside the enclosure, a child points at him and laughs.
"Wonderful," Steve mumbles, staring at the bird shit now decorating his sleeve.
"Oh, you got a little something…" Eddie reaches out towards Steve's hair, then pulls his hand back. "Well. Everywhere, really."

Steve works in the farmyard section of Hawkins Zoo, and spends his days mucking out barns and trying not to fall in love with his co-worker in the Insect House.
He fails.
A little orphan lamb, some nudging from his best friend, and a whole lot of chemistry brings him and Eddie together.

Steve glances away.
“Do you want something of mine?” Eddie asks softly. Steve looks back to him, and Eddie wrings his hands, twisting the ring on his index finger. “Sorry, that was stupid, you don’t even know me -”
“Yes,” Steve blurts, before he can stop himself.
His omega is crying out for something of this alpha’s to add to their nest.

“I won’t waste time, you all know why we’re here.” Eddie said, tugging Steve forward a step by his hair, and moving him in to place with a knee at his back. “This here’s Stevie.”
Steve was pliant as Eddie stepped behind him, gripping his collar to bring him high on his knees and gripped the back of his neck.
“Don’t be fooled.” Eddie said, pulling something from his back pocket. “He’s not as innocent as he looks. Stevie’s a dirty boy and he needs to get what he deserves.”
Or…Eddie invites a few guys over to use Steve and show him what he's for. Only when Steve’s fucked out with tally marks on his back does Eddie finally come in to take his turn.
