Summary
After the death of his father in the war against the Solari, Finn is crowned king, and swears he will take the Solari down. However, as the war wages on, even he can see when he is beaten. To avoid further bloodshed, he surrenders to Dane. The Solari accept his surrender, and agree no more Lunare will be harmed, under the condition that Finn is given to the Solari as a war prize, to serve Dane as long as he lives. Tied together again after so many years apart, neither of them can imagine how the other has changed, or what they are capable of after so many years of war. Navigating their feelings, it becomes apparent to Finn there are bigger things afoot in their kingdoms then their relationship, and actions that need to be taken to secure the future of both their kingdoms.

I came into this completely blind of either fandom or character. To me this reads as original work. If this is the fanfiction that comes from this pairing I might have to do a little digging. The way both characters have their own very dangerous and very personal missions makes them very interesting individually. Myles has past lives bleeding into his current one and 2 groups of people trying to kidnap him and force him back for more. Alex is… well Alex literally isn’t human, but he has more humanity than the man whose live he took over. Both want to stop the shady organizations after them, but finding road blocks like being outnumbered and virus detecting hardware. They cross paths, one almost gets eaten, and then they become allies of necessity. From there they evolve into friends, lovers, and eventually one cohesive team of badasses. Sex scenes ain’t bad either.

The idea of 2 different Wills switching realities and playing the game with different Hannibals is a very interesting idea. Throw in one world being A/B/O and the other not and it’s even better. Mathew really doesn’t feature in this but, that’s ok because the rest is so very good.

This is slow build with a crap ton of teasing. I love to potential rivalry between Matt and Hannibal. Matt deserved more in the show as he’s such an interesting character. I love how the relationship between both sides of the triangle are different from each other. Cannon typical violence, cannibalism (duh), unhinged courting by 2 psychopaths, very character driven, not cannon compliant. Also one of those rare stories with 2 different endings.
