Hey. Yeah, it’s been a… long while.
So as some of you may know, I was having some complications. In case you didn’t know: I have been dealing with some medical stuff for a long while. I was expecting to finally get some real help for it during February, but. Yeah, that didn’t work out. I was devastated. I have really not being doing too well, and partially it was the exhaustion, but partially… I was so ashamed of the fact that by time I realized “shit… i am just not able to write this” it had been so long I left you guys without any updates or contact or anything. And I didn’t want to say I was giving up my fics, because god I love them so much, and I still have so much I want to write! And I didn’t want to say they’re all on hiatus, because I was still in denial and thinking “any day now. Any day now I’ll get some of my energy back and write those chapters.”
But it’s half way through 2023 now and I’ve barely touched them.
The reason I’m making this now is because I’ve finally come to a solid decision. I’ve decided on something concrete so you guys aren’t left wondering.
I have a close discord friend who I’ve known since before any of these fics were published, and she has an amazing work ethic, despite dealing with hand tremors that make editing a big task for her. We bonded over being disabled writers, amongst other things. She has a fanfic currently that updates every week pretty much without fail.
She’s helped me brainstorm and write many a chapter, she’s helped me since day one, and often it’s felt like I had a co-writer
I asked her how she felt about me passing all my fanfics to her, and after LOTS of discussion, she has accepted. She has all my google docs. Full rights to my fics. I will just be talking to her over discord about the directions I originally wanted these to go in, but it’s all up to her now. Whatever she wants to do. She will do whatever the hell she wants with the direction of these fics if she so pleases, and I am asking everybody to respect that. She’s her own author and I make zero promises that we are going to think and write like the same person. From what we’ve discussed, these will all largely follow the same pathway, but I’m just giving you all a heads up.
We’re still working out if she’s going to re-publish these to her profile or if I’m going to give her my account as a sort of “under new management” thing, or what— but until then she is going to be working on copying the current chapters to new docs, editing things, maybe re-writing some chapters entirely. I can’t say how long it’ll be because she has tons of fics in her docs already, but I CAN tell you (as someone who reads and gives her feedback for those) that all those fics in her docs get worked on very regularly and have a bunch of stocked up chapters that she just hasn’t posted yet, because she’s way better prepared than I ever have been, lol. So she might want to write a good number of chapters for these before posting anything period.
(If you guys want to weigh in on if she should take over my account or republish them in hers, go ahead. We’re all ears.)
I will publish an announcement in each of my fics when they get posted for again. But for now… absolutely MASSIVE thank you to ao3 user LilaVaporizer9000 for agreeing to adopt my poor neglected fanfics. It literally means the world to me.
Go check her out, she currently has only posted one of her fanfics but it’s really awesome and hilarious, and seriously— I owe you the world, queen.
We’re still working on writing and how these are going to be adopted, they’ll likely still be hiatused for a while, so I can’t tell you when they’ll re-emerge, but I can at least tell you that all my fics are going to a good home.
That being said— I 1000000% understand any and everyone who just. Isn’t interested anymore, or not willing to keep hanging on with no clear date in place, those who just don’t want to, as some might see it, waste their time checking for change. Thank you for all that you’ve brought, you all mean the world to me and I get it. Farewell!
I’ll be watching over these fics from a different seat now. Sorry again for my avoidance, and so much love to all of you who are so understanding and supportive. To those who aren’t… Do not leave hate comments, I will delete them. Do not leave comments begging me to keep my fics, I will delete them. Do not leave comments asking “whyyyy” or lamenting about the change, I will delete them. I cannot keep up with these. This is for the best. This is final.
