Eventually the rest of the world always eroded under him, gave into Rozanov the same way Shane and a lifetime of clear-headed composure dissolved beneath a stupid half-smile.

Time travel fic. Shane walks out of Ilya’s hotel room in Vegas to go back to his own, only for the elevator to throw him 20 years or more into the future. He walks to what he thinks is his own hotel room, only to find he’s time traveled and sees a forty something Ilya. Ilya makes him tea and they talk. Shane also tries to suck Ilya off. Ilya says Older Shane just left. Ilya is also married, and Shane asks hopefully, heartbreakingly, if it’s to him. Ilya says no, it’s his second wife. He met the first one later that same night in 2014 when he got her pregnant. Shane’s illusion of an older, bigger, still as handsome Ilya is slightly shattered. Ilya says Shane was always the one to leave first, and Shane says maybe Ilya should leave first this time, thinking of all the times Ilya shut him out or wiped him off like a ragdoll. Younger Ilya manages to find the room, and they talk vaguely about things. Hopeful ending! -
