“A ghost who can defeat heavenly officials, conjure blood rains, has pretty sparkly butterfly spirits and is good enough with a saber to impress Guoshi! An Le, do you know which ghost this is?”
An Le Wang listened to his “friend” Lang Qianqiu give a rather unique description of the feared Calamity Supreme, Xueyu Tanhua. The most horrifying part of this conversation was the fact that it had started with a-
“I want to find Guoshi a cool sparring partner!”
Taking in a deep calming breath, An Le finally gathered enough of his wits to ask, “Why exactly does Dianxia think his shifu would be a match for a ghost capable of besting gods?”
And that idiotic chatterbox had the audacity to laugh at him!
“Well, Guoshi was the one who said it was a pity they couldn't cross swords! Besides, if he wasn't truly capable of dealing with our flower ghost, he wouldn't have lingered in the battle site.” Lang Qianqiu said, grinning with a ‘Isn’t my shifu the best’ expression that made his face extremely punchable in An Le’s totally unbiased opinion.
“Flower ghost? So you do know who he is!” And yet you still dare?
“I called him that because he spared all the wildflowers from getting stained by the rain. Guoshi thinks it is very sweet of him! So he is really called Hua? An le, you know him?”
Mentally batting off the sparkles from his eyes that seemed intent on blinding him, An Le started explaining what his ancestor had told him in the middle of cursing the said ghost out.
“Have you ever heard of the four calamities, Dianxia?” he asked.
“Guoshi never taught me about ghosts or gods so nope!”
But isn't the very purpose of a state preceptor teaching one on religious matters in addition to the ways of cultivation? An Le mused as he looked at Lang Qianqi’s confident expression as he shook his head.
So the rumours of the Imperial Family just slapping a title on a random cultivator……are really true!
“So the first known calamity is called Baiyi Houshi also known as Bai Wuxiang-”
An Le was the most genuine he had ever been around his “best friend” when he explained of all he knew about the four Ghost Kings.
An Le knew how impulsive and hot headed he could be, always acting first without thinking things through. Hence, it would be truly terrible if he died of his own damn stupidity by offending a Supreme before An Le could properly plan to kill him and his entire Lang clan.
“Oh I didn't know An Le was this knowledgeable about ghosts!” Lang Qianqiu exclaimed, clapping his hands in praise. “Many thanks, I know what to do!”
Lang Qianqiu ran off after that confusing statement, wondering what exactly he “realised” from their conversation.
He did seem to have an unusually high opinion of Xueyu-
“Ah, so it was a fair challenge! Then didn't he have more to lose with his ashes. A demotion still implied a future opportunity!”
“What did those Xianle Generals even do to be on his bad side?”
“Getting a title out of protecting a little flower, he sounds like a good person!”
“Maybe this Qingdeng Yeyou deserved the beating he got, he sounds horrible!”
An Le sighed, wondering if he should go pray to a shrine of Lingwen Zhenjun to ask for some extra brains for his “best friend” so he wouldn't do anything too stupid.
“Did you hear? That stone faced Guoshi, he finally has an attendant he didn't kick out!!”
As the self appointed spy of anything and everything related to the Yong'an royal family, An Le decided he had to investigate further. Maybe a little flattery or even greasing this new servant's palm would loosen his tongue enough to unlock the mystery of Fangxin Guoshi.
An Le walked towards the training grounds as it was the time of the day when Lang Qianqiu usually got his ass kicked in the name of “teaching”. Pushing his way through the gathering crowd, An Le moved to the front only to almost get blown away from the sheer force of swords clashing.
Amidst the startled gasps and drawn in breaths, two people were locked in combat with a speed that was almost impossible to track with a mortal eye. One dressed in black and the other in white, the dreaded jian Fangxin against a bright silver scimitar, the two were tearing down the very practice grounds they stood on with pure strength.
For once, it wasn't Lang Qianqiu getting a beating from his shifu. No, Lang Qianqiu was on the other side of the training grounds whooping in excitement as the clash got even more intense.
An Le lost track of how long they were moving in a deadly dance against one another till a sword- the opponent’s scimitar- struck the ground right in front of him, snapping him back to his senses. A startled silence followed for almost an entire minute before the entire ground erupted in cheers at Fangxin Guoshi holding his jian against his opponent's neck.
“Good spar,” Fangxin Guoshi praised as he sheathed his jian. An Le wasn't even surprised the man was showing actual emotions for once since that match was truly that exceptional.
“Many thanks to Guoshi for inviting me to one,” Xiao Hua replied with a blinding grin. “It was truly boring to spar with those small fries at Zhongyuan.”
An Le felt as if a realisation was within reach of him. Focusing back on the scimitar, An Le tried grabbing it to give it back to the new attendant- perhaps, a conversation stuck then would make them familiar enough to get some intel- only to freeze, suddenly hit by the killing intent flooding from the rattling weapon.
“My spiritual weapon doesn't permit touch from strangers, Xiao Gongzi”, a clear voice sounded and An Le snapped to his senses to see a hand with a demonic tattoo on it pull the scimitar out as if he was slicing through butter and not stone.
He looked up and up and met the gaze of a youth not much older than him. The youth was smiling but it didn't reach his two clear eyes tinged with arrogance. He walked off to the side to put on his discarded outer robe that was a fiery red.
An Le saw the youth in red walk back towards Fangxin Guoshi, his silver maple earrings swinging with his long strides as he grinned up at the other man, his smile more genuine this time.
Looking at Lang Qianqiu skipping over the two and chattering excitedly about the martial art techniques they had used in the spar, An Le suddenly recalled that bizarre conversation they had a few days earlier about his insane Guoshi wanting to spar with a literal Calamity level ghost.
Lang Qianqiu met his gaze and nodded, mouthing “It is him!” with excess enthusiasm that made his blood run cold.
He shook his head in denial and focused on the conversation the two were having instead.
“You have such an excellent scimitar, Xiao Hua!” Fangxin Guoshi smiled back at the youth, a rare sight, hands twitching as if he wanted to examine it himself.
“Daozhang-gege can touch my sword anytime”, the youth replied with a grin, handing over his weapon with ease.
What.
“Oh, can I?” Fangxin Guoshi actually sounded a little excited and breathless.
What?
And so An Le got to witness the most ridiculous sight in his life-
Fangxin Guoshi stroking that damn saber and cooing at it as if it was some cat to be pet instead of the dangerous cursed blade it actually was.
The saber which “opened” its ruby red eye to gaze at the man, squinting as if it was happy- The cursed blade, E’ming??
“Oh hello, aren't you the most precious sword ever? Yes, you are,” Fangxin murmuring sweet words to the scimitar in the same deadpan tone as ever made him erupt into goosebumps and An Le found himself leaving the training grounds on instinct.
He had to clear his head.
He needed to warn his ancestor of a fellow Calamity- one that might crush their lifelong plans into mush. Now.
Unfortunately for him, this was the first of many sights he would witness, one more bizarre than the other.
An Le walked towards Lang Qianqiu's study room with a stack of scrolls- all of them homework from a stern scholar who taught them history.
As much as An Le hated the man for spouting lies about his ancestors when it came to how Yong'an was founded, he loved seeing Lang Qianqiu infuriate the man to no end considering he never failed to sleep during his classes, sometimes from the very start.
Thus, the old man was simply unwilling to directly instruct the prince on his studies if he could get away with it lest he angered himself to death.
As he neared his destination, he could faintly hear a few instructions about brush strokes- calligraphy?
Hearing Fangxin Guoshi speak of his personal insights into calligraphy, he couldn't help but overhear it all as they were simply a wealth of knowledge- knowledge that the Guoshi was clearly wasting on Lang Qianqiu as it was simply like casting pearls in front of swine.
An Le felt a little miffed that Fangxin Guoshi had refused his request to take him in as a student as well- he was simply too good of a teacher. An Le sighed at the missed opportunity as he respectfully knocked at the closed door to announce his presence.
“Come on,” a clear voice commanded and An Le complied, walking into the study.
“I have come to deliver Dianxia's study supplies,” he said, bowing to the man as much as he could with his hands occupied.
Fangxin Guoshi nodded at him from his desk, his sleeves rolled back as if he had been demonstrating a few brush strokes with two attentive tails- no, students- trailing behind him with their necks craned. An Le was not jealous, not at all.
While placing the scrolls at a nearby desk, he accidentally dropped a few practice papers on the ground. With a muttered apology, he crouched down to pick them up and almost dropped them again- what was this demonic writing?
The handwriting was rough, inelegant, frenzied and devoid of writing technique. It was as if someone took a brush while drunk and scribbled with malice in their heart, swept by foul noxious winds that created these pieces- one more revolting than the other.
It was also the same as that tattoo on Xiao Hua’s hand that day- as expected of a Ghost King! Even his handwriting is terrifying!
Lang Qianqiu let out a snort from the side where he had come to help with picking up the scattered papers.
“Xiao Hua’s handwriting is pretty unique, isn't it?” he murmured, mouth twitching as he suppressed a laugh.
And it seemed to be a good instinct as Fangxin’s cold voice sounded the next moment saying, “If Dianxia has the leisure to comment on others’ calligraphy, he surely won't mind working more on yours.”
Lang Qianqiu jolted with the fear of a student forced to write way too many impositions. “His paintings are pretty great with excellent brushwork!” he said, doing such a poor job of changing the subject and flashing a pitiful smile at Fangxin and Xueyu who had sat on a nearby chair by then.
“Please don't make me write the Dao De Jing again” might as well have been written across his face as he unscrolled a nearby sheet of paper to show him-
Fangxin Guoshi himself captured in precise brushstrokes, a small smile adorning his face as he cradled a wildflower close to his chest. The silver butterfly fluttering in his hair almost seemed real. The clothing and even the details on his mask- it was simply too exquisite.
“Beautiful!” An Le couldn't help but admire the lifeline painting.
Xiao Hua hummed off handedly, his gaze still stuck on Fangxin.
“Many thanks for delivering these,” Fangxin said with a flippant wave and gave a look to his student that promised him another conversation on why he should take his other classes seriously as well.
An Le knew a dismissal when he saw one and bowed again, murmuring a “It was no trouble, Guoshi” and turning to leave.
He couldn't help looking back and saw Fangxin standing behind Xueyu and adjusting his wrist position from behind as if he was a little child to be taught- he might as well be given the pitiful statue of his writing-
An Le did not know what to think of their relationship, whatever it was.
Why would a Ghost King even stoop so low to be Fangxin’s attendant anyways?
Giggling sounds came from inside the armoury. An Le opened up the door to scold whichever servants were canoodling in there and almost got blinded by a flash of light. Inside he saw-
An entire horde of Xueyu Tanhua’s infamous demon butterflies who were all……. using Fangxin Guoshi as a perch?
Fangxin Guoshi giggled again as the butterflies seemed intent on a demonic cuddling session as they crowded him again.
Definitely-Xueyu Tanhua cleared his throat with a sheepish expression, his besotted gaze entirely on Fangxin as the spirits dispersed into silver sparkles, one still lingering to hover over his outstretched palm.
An Le closed the door with a bang and ran away.
An Le had just wanted to buy some new strings for his guqin when he noticed Lang Qianqiu and Fangxin Guoshi sitting in an open terrace of a restaurant with another man, his long unbound hair hiding his slightly gaunt face as he bent down to eat.
An Le watched from below as the sickly scholar ate up and entire sitting of dishes and another…..and another- What the fuck??? What even is he??
As casually as humanely possible after seeing such a sight, An Le quickly entered the shop, grabbing a weimao for a quick disguise. Sitting next to the trio, he could finally hear snatches of conversation.
And they were speaking of- civil arts? The Idiot was actually being sincere about learning those for once?
And out came another sitting and Lang Qianqiu reciting as if his life was on the line till the scholar was finally done eating.
“Good job, I see that Xiao Dianxia has finally stopped sleeping through his lessons,” he heard smooth voice say- the scholarly glutton?
“Oh no, he still sleeps during mine,” Fangxin said. An Le could guess he was giving the ‘disappointed parent' look which always worked wonders on his student.
“Scholar He is an incredibly talented teacher to actually get through my student’s thick head without him dozing off in the middle.”
Heavens, Fangxin almost sounded teasing.
“The student is right here, you know?” A petulant grumble from the Brat.
And the waiter came yet again- oh thank the fucking heavens, it was just dessert.
“Yunxiao?”
“Tomorrow's the Shangyuan Festival! Since I can't leave the palace then, I am wishing you two in advance-’
“My family's dead,” the man interrupted his chatter, startling the Idiot into silence.
“Mm.” An agreeing hum from Fangxin.
“Oh.”
The Fool’s eyes darted between the two, not knowing what to say.
As a spoiled prince raised in privilege, what would he ever know of suffering? Humiliation? Pain? Death?- An Le thought, anger surging towards the Yong'an Dianxia as usual. Surely his fake goody shoes act has to be grating to the two as well?
“I still remember the Yunxiao your family made,” Fangxin said to Scholar He out of the blue. “It has been too long to remember the exact taste but it was very warm.” he continued, his voice soft. “Your father was a kind man.”
The scholar let out a sudden grin and asked, “Free food does taste better, doesn't it?”
“Better than ones steeped in debt, for sure.” Fangxin snarked back, whatever moment they had broken as they smiled at each other.
An Le was very lost and would have very much loved to know what they were going on about but the context was too far in the past for him to ever grasp.
But the Busybody being uncomfortable for sticking his nose in too much was satisfying enough to be not too put out. Heh!
“If Scholar He remembers his family recipe, we can make it again, right? To have something sweet to remember them by.” The Moron’s soft voice sounded. Has he not learnt enough-
“I am good at cooking” Scholar He seemed to be genuinely considering it.
(A pity he didn't sound angry. Then again, ordinary people can't afford to be angry at their nation’s crown prince.)
From the gap in his veil, An Le could see Fangxin straighten.
(Oh no.)
From what little he could see, he felt a slight excitement from that man, and sure enough he opened his mouth to say-
(Not again!)
“I know a little bit of cooking as well. I can help make-”
“NO!” An Le almost shouted along with the twin resounding refusal, remembering The Thing that Demonic Guoshi had concocted a month ago and shuddered. Only Xueyu Tanhua had consumed it without hesitation- a true monster! Very suited for one another!
Well, a strange man this scholar with a never-ending stomach might be, but at least he had common sense enough to prevent the creation of another monstrosity.
Busying himself with his own food as the three passed by his table when they finally left, he resolved that he should tell his ancestor about this strange incident.
Heshui Chenzhou. Ship Sinking Black Water.
Listening to his ancestor complain about how he was wronged in not being as respected as the two Calamities that had truly been forged by the Kiln, An Le felt a drowning despair for the first time in his life.
Despair that another Calamity thought it fit to just wander around Yong'an.
Despair at the fact that the Guoshi still somehow felt more dangerous than the two Ghost Kings.
Despair at what Lang Qianqiu would become if he had three terrifying teachers- No. The Brat was just an opportunist born with a silver spoon. He is the hardworking one with actual talent. He will not be surpassed, never-
An Le gritted his teeth, once again feeling the unfairness of this life of his.
Well, it wouldn't matter as they were already halfway through with their grand revenge plan.
Lang Qianqiu will die at his seventeenth birthday and as his very good friend, he wouldn't mind sending his entire family along to the gates of hell.
It would make a fine birthday present.
An Le heard a soft melodious voice singing in some unknown language, accompanied with a xiqin strumming a merry tune- the harmony formed being distinctly romantic coming from the Emperor's private grove.
Rumours said that he had first met the Empress, then a maiden from the prestigious Sun family of scholars, during a palace feast and immediately fell for her beauty and grace. His mother, the late Empress Dowager, had arranged them a private meeting in that very grove covered in plum blossoms and a lake filled with the most stunning lotus flowers. They say it had bloomed a twin lotus on the very day and a marriage had been quickly arranged as it symbolized a harmonious union.
No other women were ever added to the emperor’s backyard after their marriage, even the tongfangs had been sent away since then- That Sun-shi did have some skill, he supposed.
Thus, the grove was always closed to outsiders. Perhaps the Emperor had arranged for some foreign musicians to entertain him and his Empress.
An Le leaned against a pillar, enjoying the music which soothed and calmed his mind. He had been too stressed lately thanks to the demonic Guoshi and his demonic Ghost King so being away from them and his “best friend” was truly soothing-
He almost reached for his sword when he was suddenly yanked into a corridor by a familiar hand. He sighed, wondering what had made Lang Qianqiu so excited on this day.
And just when he had been happy that the Brat wasn't around to trouble him-
“Come on, I want to show you something!” he whispered as he dragged An Le towards the private grove, thankfully stopping before they entered it- he didn't especially want to interrupt Their Majesties time alone.
Lang Qianqiu was rummaging around a group of creeping vibes, revealing a small hole in the wall that would hypothetically a direct view to the garden inside with a dramatic flourish.
“Come on, just see!” he repeated.
On Lang Qianqiu's insistence (and his suppressed curiosity on the mystery musicians), An Le peeked in and saw two figures sitting on the gazebo in the middle of the lake- one in dark colours and other a bright crimson.
Fangxin Guoshi was strumming away on a Xiqin- this man really was just a propped up commoner, using such an unrefined instrument- and Xueyu was singing- the fearsome god killing Calamity, singing??
“What,” An Le asked.
“You know how much Father Emperor loves matchmaking,” Lang Qianqiu answered with a grin.
“What?” An Le asked, more horrified this time with his voice and entire octave louder.
“Shhhhh,” Lang Qianqiu clapped a hand against his mouth and dragged him a little away from the wall. “Are you trying to make them hear us?”
An Le hated to admit it but Lang Qianqiu made a good point as the music had tapered off to an end. The two seemed to be engaging in casual conversation after, with Xueyu casually offering a snow white flower to Fangxin who pinned it in his hair.
It really did seem like they were- courting?
“They- the two,” An Le stammered, lost for words. “How?”
“Just because I am never getting married doesn't mean I can't see it,” Lang Qianqiu replied in a defensive tone.
That was so not the point, An Le wanted to tell him. The point was that the calamity whose name terrified all three realms was acting like a teenager with a crush, all giggling and hair twirling with a besotted look at your shifu of all people.
What does he even see in that ice cold man anyways?
“You aren't accepting their love just because the two are men, right?” Lang Qianqiu asked, his voice accusing and faintly disbelieving.
What does the two being men have to do with anything, An Le wanted to shake Lang Qianqiu by his lapels and also scream. The two being a Ghost King and a monster that can defeat him- they are terrifying alone as it is, but together??
The romantic music that started all over again stabbed into his soul as he fell into despair once more.
A crash sounded from the armoury. An Le should have known better.
Still, he stepped in.
He then stepped out.
Too quick to leave in a distressingly practiced motion, An Le had still noticed the rumpled clothing or the swollen lips of the two inside.
He faintly heard a hoarse voice say, “Need some more spiritual energy, gege? Is this good?” and another clatter as something hit the wall.
An Le walked away faster.
An Le was just about finished appraising weaponry and cutting off a deal with the local smugglers and he was already feeling tired from all the haggling and smooth talking.
Still, he had to go to a nearby luxurious clothing store to buy a few outfits for himself- that was the official reason he had given to travel this far during his day off.
“Welcome, Daren!” a woman greeted him with a smile. “What does-”
A peal of giggles broke whatever she was about to tell him. The matron looked faintly apologetic as she led him inside.
“Apologies for the daren to see such poor conduct,” she explained, her smile a little wry.
“The sisters are just getting carried away with dressing up the-” she tilted her head in consideration, “-admittedly adorable child one of our other customers brought in.”
An Le looked at the direction she pointed to just to seem polite and froze in shock.
Why is it him again?
Fangxin Guoshi stood, even more terrifying than usual as he was sporting a wide grin. A gaggle of maidens surrounded him, holding an assortment of dresses and hairpins of all sizes and colours.
“Is this really necessary?” a petulant voice asked from inside the crowd.
“Now, now, girls!” The matron chided without much heat. “Don't surround our little customer, you are scaring him.”
The maids reluctantly started to disperse, not forgetting to stuff their products into Fangxin Guoshi’s hands, revealing the child muttering “who's scared of those people” with a raised chin-
Dressed in robes as red as maple and fire, the child looked both handsome and spirited, even as he was impatiently tapping at the floor with his feet, the silver chains from the deerskin boots clinking away merrily.
The two were immediately surrounded again, this time by the other lady customers whose hearts simply melted at the sight of such a lovely child, murmuring “oh my, oh my!” nonstop in appreciation.
“Red does look best on you,” Fangxin murmured with a soft smile, ruffling the child’s hair after placing all the clothing and jewellery in the nearby table.
That child looked an awful lot like that demonic Ghost King-
The two didn't actually have that kid outside wedlock, did they- wait, what was he even thinking??
Fangxin and Xueyu were both men, they can't have a child. Then that should be- right, shapeshifting! Xueyu sometimes wears a child's skin, he had forgotten that in his shock.
This was all their fault for being so disgustingly sappy around each other that he was entertaining such foolish thoughts, ugh!
He looked back as Fangxin forced another outfit on Xueyu as he complained and pouted up at him and shuddered, shaking his head and walking away.
An Le decided he needed to have his wits about to plot and scheme properly- it was more important than spying on the two that never failed to give him a headache.
He did not notice the puzzled glance Fangxin Guoshi shot at him as desperate as he was to leave the store.
An Le consoled himself that he wouldn't see the two inside the Imperial Palace since they seemed to have taken a liking to travelling around the country.
Or so he had thought in vain as he had started seeing them all over the palace.
The Emperor, now completely over his fear of Fangxin, often called him to court to discuss state policies- from what An Le had overheard, the Guoshi did have an excellent aptitude to be a state official if not a little too naive at times. Perhaps, Lang Qianqiu had gotten his goody shoes act from his shifu, they were certainly alike in that regard.
In the gardens, he would find the Empress drag Xiao Hua into yet another discussion about a book, a poem or whatever topic she had in mind, the two sometimes engaging in heated debates till the sun went down and yet parting with amiable smiles.
Fangxin would be found advising both father and son on imperial affairs and Xiao Hua would be lounging around him somewhere with a book in hand, precious ones from the Sun family library.
The two were too involved and too friendly with the Lang clan- which was the absolute worst that could happen to him!
He needed to consult his ancestor so they could plot to make sure those two didn't ruin The Plan- a scheme that involved making sure those two terrible demons were far, far away from Yong'an when they finally slaughtered the Lang bloodline whole.
An Le and his ancestor, the feared Qingdeng Yeyou, plotted the Perfect Plan.
Qingdeng Yeyou had spared no effort to place as many of his subordinates as possible to create a huge commotion in the Ghost City to keep Xueyu away.
Fangxin could be similarly kept away by tricks and deception on the occasion he didn't simply join the Ghost King- An Le was surprised the seemingly rigid and stern man was even okay with the idea of the nest of chaotic dancing ghosts and demons, nevermind seen multiple times wandering around the said Ghost City.
It was simply perfect.
It was not perfect.
An Le didn't even have the energy to cry out anymore, his swollen cheek twitching in pain as he leaned against a mouldy wall of the shoddy jail cell, the shoddiness unfortunately not extending to the excellent security.
An Le didn't know how long he would live or whether he would simply die of poison in the name of “sickness” but he was far, far luckier than his ancestor.
Why would not one but two citizens from the long fallen Xianle choose to help the Lang bloodline who had wronged them??
He then remembered the terrible state his ancestor’s body was in, with both Fangxin and Xueyu taking turns to beat him to a pulp and even Lang Qianqiu joining in for a few well placed kicks in anger for his family's almost demise.
He also remembered the furious rage of Fangxin, no, the Xianle Taizi Dianxia, all directed towards his own cousin on behalf of his student. His instincts told him that his real body might just face a fate far worse than the clone that exploded into a bloody mess that day.
He shuddered at the memory of such a sharp killing intent flooding the hall that day- perhaps staying inside was for the best, it was certainly safer here.
He couldn't reconcile with the fact that his decade-long schemes were in tatters, his reputation and future both gone beyond saving and wondered where he had gone wrong.
An Le did know that he did not have a single good day in his life since that demon in red appeared in his life.
But then again, who would have a good day when they plot against the strongest Martial God and the most infamous Ghost King combined?
Omake 1:
Sun Jiuzhu: So, what preferences does my husband have for selecting concubines?
Lang Yi: I thought we agreed on only having each other this entire life? Did I do something wrong? Are you driving me out? How could you?
Sun Jiuzhu: Nevermind then….
And that's the story of how Lang Qianqiu was an only child lol- his father is a romantic who is very dedicated to loyalty to his one wife who is very confused but still pleased with the end result.
(And it should be very obvious I have been reading a lot of historical setting cnovels ^-^)
Omake 2:
Hua Cheng: I need you to babysit this kid while I go play with gege outside and maybe knock some books into his head.
He Xuan: Oh hell no why would I even do that?
Hua Cheng: I will deduce a quarter of your debt.
He Xuan: Half.
Hua Cheng: Quarter and a century of free pet feeding.
He Xuan: Deal.
First, He Xuan was treating it as a job but Lang Qianqiu’s tendency to sleep through all of his lessons genuinely ignited a sense of challenge in him and he became truly dedicated to the cause aka the inner civil god in him awakened in pure offence.
