Summary
It had been some time since Javert was startled by one of Valjean’s terms of endearment. He stilled, his eyebrows raising and his mouth dropping open to retort, but all he could manage was, “What?”
Valjean chuckled, but stopped when Javert glared at him. “Oh, Javert. It’s acceptable for me to call you a good boy, but not little one?”
Javert sniffed in disdain. “It’s not particularly fitting, is it?”
Valjean tries out a new pet name during sex, causing Javert to realize and admit some things about himself.

Valjean gently grabbed him by the chin, forcing him to meet his gaze. “Javert, if it really bothers you when I talk like that, I can stop,” he said, his brows furrowed with concern.
Javert chewed his lip. “It doesn’t bother me,” he replied softly. He averted his gaze, his whole body suddenly feeling very warm. “In fact, I do like it. I like everything you said about me being small…” he trailed off in embarrassment.
A wide grin spread across the other man’s face. “I know you did. I’m happy to hear you admit it, little one.”
Despite his insides twisting with excitement, Javert rolled his eyes as he met Valjean’s lips for a passionate kiss.
