"Hey, Lithia. Look over there!"
A little girl pointed at the kid who sits alone on one of the swing.
"Isn't that the new kid?"
Lithia ask, looking at the kid with curiosity.
"Yeah, but I never see her playing with anyone. Even in every lunch break, she will just sit on that swing while staring at the ground."
Her friend says. Not interested in the lonely kid at all.
Unlike her, Lithia shows some interest and decided to approach her. But before she can do so, her friend grab her hand.
"Where are you going?"
"I want to talk to her."
"Don't bother, just leave her alone."
"Why? She seems lonely..and I feel bad for her."
"...We don't even know what type of person she is. What if she started getting aggressive when you interact with her?"
"She's just a little kid like us, what harm can she have done? You're being too paranoid."
Sigh "Whatever..."
Lithia's friend let go of her hand and let Lithia approach the girl.
"Hey! Why are sitting here alone?"
Startled. The girl turn her head so fast towards Lithia direction, it kind of caught Lithia off guard. But she quickly compose herself and put a warm smile on her face.
"I'm Lithia! What's your name?"
Lithia walks slowly to the girl in order not to scare her.
The girl didn't respond nor she's moving away from the swing, she just stare at Lithia until she stand right in front of her.
Lithia didn't force her to answer either, she just keep smiling at her.
The girl shift her gaze to the side, after a moment she answered Lithia's question in such a soft and low voice.
"...Fei..Fei Lawrence."
"Nice to meet you, Fei!"
Fei just nod her head, trying her best to maintain eye contact but failed as she quickly staring to the ground.
Lithia didn't mind that as she reach out her hand for Fei to hold while beaming cheerfully.
"Come on, let's go play together with my friend!"
Fei just stare at her, contemplating about whether she took her hand or not. Is it fine for her to join them playing together? Do they really okay with playing with her? Especially Lithia's friend..Do they don't mind?
With Fei having internal crisis, Lithia decided to just grab Fei's hand and pull her off the swing.
"Yelp- W-What do you think you're doing!?"
"Relax. I'm just pulling you off the swing since you take too long to hold my hand, and my hand's start getting tired for stretching out for too long."
Lithia straight up dragging Fei to meet her friend. Fei "tried" to get her hand off her own, but it was pointless.
Lithia's friend who's been watching from afar didn't expect Lithia to actually just dragged Fei towards her.
When meeting Fei face to face, she didn't know what to say so she just smile awkwardly at her (giving her a little wave while she's at it).
"Lovelyn, this is Fei. Fei this is Lovelyn. Now we all can be friends and play together!"
Lithia look so proud with the introduction, putting both of her hands on her hips.
Fei just stare at her with full terror while Lovelyn tries her best to start a conversation with Fei.
"Uh...Hey, Fei..Um, it's nice to meet you! I hope Lithia didn't scare you too much, she's always been like that."
Fei still scared, look at Lovelyn with her shaking voice says;
"C-Can....I h-hug you..?"
"..Uh....Sure..I guess?"
Lovelyn extending her hands to the side, allowing Fei to hug her. She tries to soothe Fei's shaking body by moving her hand up and down on Fei's back (and it actually worked).
"Hey, that's not fair! How can you get a hug and I don't??"
"Well..Maybe if you act more gentle with her, she will give you a hug too."
"I am gentle!"
"Um, not really."
Lithia pout at that, crossing her arms in front of her chest. Lovelyn chuckled seeing her friend attitude.
'..Maybe adding one more into the duo (now a trio) is not so bad.'
Lovelyn smiled at that thought.
