No, no, I hadn't.. I didn't have any crushes, I wasn't dating anyone, I was being unfairly accused! Teased without any basis!
[Ah? No?]
No. People always assume there must be something, but there's not. I don't like that stuff. I really dislike when people try to force it on me.
Looking back at (person kse was talking to), I roll my eyes and scoff.
Unfortunately, there's no point in correcting people. They just double down and refuse to believe me.
It's the worst when people mean well about it. They want to help me, they're trying to be nice, but they just can't get it through their heads that I really would prefer if they didn't. They don't listen. They just want to think they're helping.
[Oh.]
I change the subject with my colleagues. We have more important things to talk about.
