Kshh... The names of each character in the group chat are what the POV character of that chat has set their name to in their phone. ...Kshhh
Kshh... The name of the POV character in the chat window is whatever they set their own name as when setting their phone up. ...Kshhh

Shnookums In this example, Remus saved Sirius's name in his phone as "Shnookums" :) Sirius wouldn't know that though, because it's only saved that way in Remus's phone.
