"Were we..." Endmin struggles to think of an appropriate word, and lands on, "Together?"
"'Together'?" Ardashir asks blankly. "Certainly, I like to believe we walked the same path for a time, and held fast to the same ideals."
"No, like..." Endmin makes a rude, illustrative gesture. Chen gasps, scandalized. Perlica groans.
The talk with Ardashir in the prison goes a little differently. (A scene rewrite where the Endministrator is less player character and more just player.)

"Please. Do not," Pogranichnik says firmly. Unfortunately, Lifeng's gotta.
