- Buck's back hurts and he asks Eddie to step on him, Eddie obviously says no but folds anyway because of Buck's puppy dog eyes. They go to the bunk room and Eddie presses his hands into Buck's back. Buck almost falls asleep and grabs Eddie who almost falls asleep too, cuddled against Buck. Chim finds them cuddling, Eddie is mortified and Buck says they're doing a sleep study. Chim doesn't buy it and leaves.
- Buck enters Eddie's kitchen. Chris is not there and Buck puts on some slow music and asks Eddie to dance. He reluctantly says yes and they start slow dancing chest to chest. Hen enters the kitchen and catches them. Eddie then says it's for physical therapy. Hen doesn't buy it either and calls them idiots.
- At a crowded farmer's market, Eddie suddenly grabs Buck's hand and easily intertwined their fingers when Buck gets almost run over by something (i forgot what lol). Buck doesn't let him go when Eddie tries to leave and then Maddie appears out of nowhere and sees them hand in hand. Eddie is mortified and he justifies this by saying it's crowd control. Buck is delighted when Maddie assumes their more than friends and Eddie secretly kind of likes it too. Eddie ends up running away with Buck next to him smiling.
- At a restaurant Buck ordered a very spicy meal and kind of regrets it. Eddie grabs a bite of his food and feeds it to Buck. Buck happily eats it and Eddie suddenly realizes how intimate it is, the action and their knees close to each other. It's at this moment than Eddie sees Ravi looking at them with a blank expression. Buck says it's temperature control. Ravi assumes they are together but Buck quickly deflects. Ravi leaves and Eddie is once again mortified. Buck is a little shit about it and Eddie knows he would do it again if Buck asked.
- Buck and Eddie are once again in the kitchen, They're cleaning up after lunch with Chris and now he's in his room playing video games. Buck keeps staring at Eddie, he's very close and Eddie asks him to stop or people might get the wrong idea. Buck asks what if they already have it. Then Buck puts his hand on Eddie face and Eddie leans into the touch. Buck tries to kiss him and then Chris appears. Buck and Eddie let go of each other and Chris asks if they were about to kiss. When they say no Chris kind of yells at them for being weird and if they want to date each other they should just do it and to stop doing whatever they are doing if not. He then leaves.
Buck and Eddie are left alone and Buck asks if their just friends, Eddie says yes and Buck leaves with a sad smile.
Eddie feels like shit because he doesn't want Buck to leave, ever. So he follows him to his place where he tells him exactly that. He tells him that he deluded himself thinking that what they were doing was normal because if not he would have to acknowledge what was really happening. When Buck asks what's happening Eddie says that he wants Buck close forever. They kiss they confess their love for each other.Absolutely adorable fic. I love that Buck the little shit knew actually what he was doing the whole time. Very funny fic.
