Work Text:

“I have two questions, Zi.”
“Is one of them: When did our toddler get ahold of your unlocked phone to take pictures?”
“Yeah, but I’m embarrassed to admit it's not the first time. She uses Face ID when I fall asleep on the sofa.”
“Tali continues to teach her achot such wonderful skills, yes?”
“Could be worse. Besides, it's pretty funny to wake up to a new photo album called, ‘sdgjjKd’ with a hundred blurry selfies and unintentional feet pics.”
“She is lucky to have a father like you, Tony, who finds her antics amusing, rather than trifling.”
“They're only young once, you know?”
“Or, in your case, until they are well into their forties.”
“Hey!”
“I could not resist, ahuvi. I love you, antics and all.”
“You better, Mrs. DiNozzo. Now, put on your sleuthing cap for question two: Where the hell did she find a cat? Do we own a freaking cat now and someone forgot to tell me?”
“Hm, I believe that beautiful chatulah belongs to Mrs. Matisse down the hall.”
“Our daughter, the cat-napper of the apartment building. Great.”
“It does explain the purring I heard coming from her laundry basket the other day.”
“You knew about this?!”
“As you said yourself, Tony: she is only young once. Let her steal cats.”
