shiny like copper

Summary:

Jud has been fighting his growing attraction to Benoit for weeks, and cannot take it any longer.

Notes:

ahhhh, I can’t believe I just spent the last hour of Christmas Eve editing this one shot. Shoutout to every other author on this tag for writing this beautiful ship and giving me much much inspo. I truly just wanted to add to the porn. I hope you like it.

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Work Text:

After Martha's hand dropped that godforesaken jewel, Jud’s first instinct was to look at Blanc. His eyes widened before they met the Fathers, his jaw slack. Jud put his hand out to grab it, ready to run outside to place it in Geraldine's lawful possession and wash himself and this church clean of the residual sin he felt even just looking at it, but Benoit stopped him. The strong, sure, blonde man held his arm across Jud's midriff, pulling him back ever so slightly. The detective did not hesitate in picking the soft pink jewel up himself, slipping it into the pocket of his tan blazer.

“Wait-” Jud croaked.

“Shhh,” Benoit responded, leaning in close. “I’m not stealing it, Jud. Not after witnessing the curse on this thing. I’m only keeping it until you have a clear mind to decide what to do with it yourself. You just trust me, now. I haven’t failed you yet.”

The older man's breath fell hotly on Jud's neck, the feeling quite foreign. It made him shiver. Jud nodded weakly. After all, the man truly hadn’t failed him yet, and he was too tired to put up a fight regardless.

“Okay,” Jud whispered. “What now?”

Now,” Benoit took him by the hand and gently pulled him up to stand. “You get some sleep. I’ll handle Geraldine and the rest.”

—

Jud awoke later that night with a groan, his body aching. Rolling over, he glanced up at the analog clock at the wall. Two. Two am, judging by the pitch black sky outside of his window. How did he get here, anyways? His last memory was of Benoit leaning close, whispering something about the jewel… the jewel. Eves fucking Apple!

The anxiety of the last several days did a number on the poor priest, who felt a sick wave of it now that everything was catching up with him. He immediately got on his feet and rushed out of his room as an impossible number of thoughts coarsed through his mind. The jewel. Benoit has the jewel. Martha is dead. Martha killed Wicks, Doctor Nat killed Wicks, everyone finally knows I didn’t kill Wicks.

His footsteps pounded down the unfinished attic steps, in search of one Mr Blanc. He might’ve fled town with the jewel already, might be at his hotel, or-

Oh.

Jud walked into the church's kitchen, surprised to see Benoit sitting at the table, sipping on a mug of what seemed to be tea. He was reading a copy of the Catholic Chronicle, wearing a pair of glasses Jud hadn’t seen before. He looked tired, too, Jud noted. His blazer was hanging haphazardly off the back of the chair next to him, and Benoit was left only in his white button down, the first few buttons undone. It was strange to see the dramatic, well groomed man in such a casual state. Jud cleared his throat, feeling awkward.

“There you are.” Benoit greeted, smiling at him. “Get some good sleep?”

When Benoit smiled at him, that real, genuine smile, it made Jud feel the same warmth he felt when he prayed. Like this all of this strong, mighty man's attention was only on him. He scolded himself for the sin of idealization. But then, Benoit had worked enough miracles these past few days to be deigned a saint.

“What’d you do with Eve’s Apple?” Jud asked, taking the chair next to him. He tried not to notice the feel of Benoit's jacket grazing his back.

“It’s still in that pocket, just as promised.” Blanc cast him a disappointed look. “Losing your faith in me so quickly, Father?

Jud rolled his eyes and exhaled a laugh. ‘If I can do anything, Blanc, I can keep my faith. I just-” He sighed, frustrated. “I wish she had swallowed it, or something.”

Benoit burst into giggles.

“I'm serious! The pressure, it’s too much. What do I  do with a thing like that, knowing all the damage that it’s done?”

“No, I know, I know,” Benoit said, rubbing a soothing hand on Jud's back. “But it’s simple. Martha spent her life trying to keep it out of wicked hands. You do the same.”

“I thought you didn’t believe in any of this.”

“You’d be correct. I believe what my eyes can see, and if I’ve seen anything this week, it's how much you believe in all of this. Despite the horrific trials and tribulations your God has put you through, and they have been horrific, you stand shining above it all.”

“Shining?” Jud smiled the silliness of it.

“Like copper.”

His hand hadn’t moved off of Jud’s back. He didn’t mind, though he should.

“It’s your turn for sleep now, Blanc. Don't you have a fancy hotel to get back to?”

“Oh, I did, but I only paid through yesterday. When I booked it, I thought I’d have the case solved by then.”

Jud chose not to ask why he couldn’t pay for another night. They both knew Chimney Rock wasn’t a busy town.

“You can sleep here, y’know.” He offered. “Wick’s old room is just begging to be used.”

“Oh, I shouldn’t impose…” Benoit let his hand slip off Judd’s back. It left him feeling empty.

“I’d prefer it if you would.” Jud swallowed. “Please impose.”

Benoit cocked his head at the priest, a knowing smile dancing across his lips. “You know, for someone so… priestly, you’re not very good at hiding it.”

“Hiding what?”

A beat.

“Your face has subtitles, darling.”

They were whispering now. Jud's heart began to thump steadily in his chest. He felt the energy shift between them and knew he should scurry away, lay back in bed and whisper his pleas for forgiveness into the quiet dark.

 He stayed.

“Yeah?” His voice cracked. “What are they saying?”

The older man chose not to respond, instead gently grabbing the priest's chin and bringing his face ever so close, hardly inches away. Slowly, he took the younger boy's lips with his own. It was soft, warm, and reserved. Jud's brain shut off and he leaned into it, grasping the back of Benoit's neck, pulling him impossibly closer. Blanc ran his fingers through the boy's hair, and God, Jud melted into him then. He needed more, more of this breathtaking man that’d stumbled into his parish not even a week ago.

Jud licked into his mouth, grazing his teeth with his tongue. Benoit hummed happily at the feel, trailing his hand down Jud's chest and landing on his protruding bulge, giving it a squeeze. The touch washed over Jud and shocked him into reality like boiling water, scalding him. He pulled back completely.

“No, no we can’t- I, I can’t, oh God,” Jud stuttered, covering his face with his hands. “I’m so sorry, Blanc-”

The detective shook his head, hushing him. “No, I’m sorry father, I shouldn’t have-”

“No!” Jud practically shouted. “No, it’s not that- you’re not- it’s me, Blanc, it’s just…” Jud looked down at himself, at the plain vestments and snow white collar wrapped around his neck. He didn’t know what to say, what to do with himself, or how to save the situation. He exhaled a breath he hadn’t realized he'd been holding and stood, running a shaky hand through his hair.

“We both need some sleep.” Blanc said kindly, rescuing him. “We’re not thinking straight. I apologize, truly.”

“Don’t apologize,” Jud muttered, but it was useless. “Sleep, yeah, sleep is good. Please don’t leave, though. I, uh- I’m not sure I can handle being here alone tonight.”

Benoit nodded but gave him a long look, like Jud was some equation he was trying to solve. “Goodnight, then.”

“Goodnight.”

The next morning, neither of them acknowledged what had happened. Benoit had greeted him like nothing was wrong, and Jud, the coward he was, took the out.

In the weeks following, Blanc hung around town, though he ended up back at the hotel. They attended countless meetings with Geraldine, Bishop Langstrom, and Cy and his lawyers. Benoit kept a safe distance and though he hated it, Jud let him. They regularly got drinks at Il Diavolo, exchanging complaints back and forth about Cy's childlike demeanor and neverending parade of attorneys.

They barely made eye contact. He hated it.

It was no new realization to Jud that he was gay. He’d known that before joining the church, and it may or may not have played into his choice to become a priest. Easier not to partake if you swear it off in any form completely, right? At any rate, after he’d killed that poor opponent of his… he didn’t think he deserved to be loved by anyone but God.

From the first time he saw Benoit, he knew he’d be a problem. He’d prayed about it, as he did about everything, but God was always silent on the subject of Benoit. This only confused Jud further. When he prayed about any other sin, he could feel His disapproval, His gentle disappointment. When he prayed about good things he’d done, he could feel His approval, like a warm hug from a proud father. When he prayed about Wicks, he felt God’s agreement, and when it was just about the simplicities of life in between, he felt a listening ear. God was any number of things to Jud, but never silent.

Until now.

Watching the older man be as charming as he was, day after day, had become something akin to a punishment for Jud. His fine tailored suits, honey ladened voice and twinkling smiles were enough to drive Jud into temporary bouts of insanity. He’d often wake in the late hours of the night with a painfully hard erection from a very detailed recurring dream, one where Jud didn’t run away after he’d kissed him. Jud, the good priest that he was, would do a Hail Mary and lay back down with eyes screwed shut until he could finally fall asleep again. He hadn’t masturbated since he’d been ordained, and despite the temptation, was intent on not giving in to it.

In the light hours, when he went on his quiet morning strolls through the church grounds, Jud would get lost in his head wondering about the other man's feelings towards himself. He’d kissed him first, sure, but he’d been so quick to blame it on their mutual lack of sleep, and had shown him no signs of interest since. Jud wasn’t entirely unaware of the wedding ring that sometimes graced his finger, but out of his own selfishness, had never asked about it further.

On the morning of his first mass, Jud was surprised to see Blanc sitting in the last row. He gave him a small, pathetic wave from the front. Blanc gave a tight lipped smile and looked down, feigning interest in the program. Jud's stomach soured, but he couldn’t think about it for too long before being pulled away by a parishioner for some questions about the church’s services.

The parishioner, a young man interested in converting to the faith and taking his first communion, yapped to Jud passionately about the Lord while the priest shook his head, feigning interest. He made a mental note to bring this up at confession, his distractedness as of late. He tried his best to smile at the right times for the boy and gave some short response about not knowing when they’d have classes available for him but how he’d surely be the first to know when they would. Then, he took his place at the front of the church, immediately seeking out Benoit.

The gentleman was talking with a new man Jud had never seen before. He sat next to him, the pair talking quietly with heads close. Heads too close, he thought. They seemed all too familiar with each other. Jud caught a glint of gold reflecting off of the man’s hand, and confirming his worst fears, the newcomer gave Benoit a quick kiss on the cheek and a squeeze on his shoulder. Benoit smiled lovingly at his husband and turned his attention back to the front, catching Jud's jealous stare. Jud flushed and looked away quickly, clearing his throat.

Praying to his Lord for strength, he began the service.

—-

Jud thought he was going to throw up.

He was currently finishing up his duties, waving off the rest of the parishioners with kind goodbyes. When he had the opportunity, he’d darted his eyes around in search of Benoit, catching glimpses of the elusive man chatting with other attendees. Jud hadn’t fully realized just how much of his attention would be expected and desired among these new sheep of his until recently, and right now, he wanted nothing more than to give it only to Benoit.

Once his lambs cleared, only Blanc and his husband stood towards the doors of the church, patiently awaiting Jud. The anticipation of meeting the husband of the man he’d been lusting after for weeks made Jud shove his hands into his pockets to hide their trembling.

“Jud!” Benoit greeted. “There’s someone I’d like you to meet. My husband, Philip.”

He screwed his lips into a smile, extending his hand. “Hello, Philip.” He bit out, as politely as he could.

“It’s so nice to meet you, Father. I’ve heard so much about you.” Philip smiled back warmly, as if nothing was wrong. Jud supposed he probably didn’t know, after all.

“I’d say the same for you, but I know better than to lie in a church.”

Philip laughed a little too hard at that, and Benoit smirked at him knowingly. Jud had the feeling he was on the outside of an inside joke, which just made him feel impossibly worse.

“Oh, come on Father, I know you’ve seen this ring.” Blanc drawled.

“Did you two enjoy the sermon?” He said, eyes trailing unsubtly to the couples clasped hands.

Benoit hummed. “Well, you know I’m no believer, but you do have a really nice way of speaking. You make everyone want to believe, at least.”

“I don’t understand.”

“That makes two of us.” Philip piped. Benoits always speaking in riddles. Or as the church might say, tongues.”

They exchanged that same inside joke glance as before, but this time, Jud understood. Or at least, made a reasonable inference with the word tongue and the way Philip squeezed Blanc's hand when he said it. Red hot jealously made its way through Jud, embarrassment for even feeling that way following. He could feel his cheeks turning red, feel his fist clench up, but was powerless to stop it.

“Well, we’d better go.” Benoit said. “My darling Philip here has a flight to catch and I’d better see him off.”

His darling.

Jud tightened his fist.

“I’d better get going too.”

Jud watched Benoit slide his hand down to Philip’s waist as they walked off. His throat tightened. He stormed back into the church, pacing up and down the pews furiously.

His husband.

He should be more ashamed of kissing a married man than he was, he thought, but that wasn’t what was eating away at him. It was the fact that he’d spent the last weeks lusting and lusting over this man and working himself into frenzies trying to stop it, just to find out he really couldn’t have him at all. That night, in the heat of the moment, that was his chance, and he’d fucking missed it. He let it fly by, foolishly daydreaming of Benoit wanting him back when the man was already spoken for.

To hell with Philip, what about God? Jud fell to his knees at the front of the empty church and pleaded aloud for God to please say something, anything, but his good Lord met him again with nothing but silence.

Fuck!” Jud shouted, throwing a stray bible across the room. Even in his anger, he was a good priest, and quickly apologized to the Lord and picked it up from where it had fallen, wiping the dusty red cover and placing it back in its pew.

Jud took a deep breath, calming himself. If God had no answer for him, he’d simply have to turn to another priest.

—-

“Forgive me father, for I have sinned.” The words didn’t echo in the small wooden confessional, but Jud felt like they did. Maybe they were just echoing in his mind. “It’s been… one month since my last confession. Give or take a week.”

“What is it you’ve done, my child?”

Bishop Langstrom sat on the other side of the confessional, having taken Jud’s call for help. Paranoid, Jud felt like there were few others he could trust to confess to. Everyone had their own opinions of him, but Jud felt that Langstrom was one of very few who did not judge. Hopefully that was still the case.

“I’ve… been lusting, Father. More too, but first and foremost, I’ve lusted.”

“Jud.” The Bishop said from the other side. “I don’t want to be rude, but lust? That’s what you called me so late for?”

“Well it’s not just-“ Jud cut himself off, blushing. “I’m lusting after a man, Father. It has taken over my life, it is interfering with my duty to the Lord, my duty to my flock. I wake from dreams of him, sweating and sick. I can’t keep myself from him, and fight sinful thoughts whenever he is near. Only sometimes, I don’t fight them at all, Father.”

A long pause passed between them, and Jud started to regret his decision to come.

“I see. Have you acted on these thoughts?”

“I haven’t… well,“ Jud sighed. “Once, but it didn’t go very far. Since that, no, but- I am losing my strength to fight.”

“Have you prayed on this alone?” Langston sounded genuinely curious.

“Yes! Yes, so many times, and the Lord meets me with nothing. It’s just silence.”

“Five Hail Marys, five Our Fathers.”

Jud lifted his head. “That’s it?”

“Did you come for advice, Jud, or to confess?” The bishop's impatient tone was back.

“Both, I suppose.”

“Well, my advice is to send that smooth talking southerner home. Stop giving into the sin at all by continuing a friendship with him. He is not part of your flock, son, and you must cut him out entirely to stop the urges.”

Jud flinched at the words. It was an impossible thing to think.

“That is one option, Jud. I’ll tell you another, and may God forgive me for what I’m about to say.” He took a deep breath. “You’ve always been a bit more naive than others in our position, on account of you not growing up in the church. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing, Jud. At times, it’s a strength of yours. God does love the innocence of his children, this we know. However, you’re hardly the first priest to feel this way. If you were to act on those feelings… again, you wouldn’t be the first. It is more than likely that you’ve run into a few of these priests along the way.”

“So what are you saying?”

“Son, I’m saying, confession exists for a damn reason. What you’re going through now is between you and God. I can’t lead you to the right decision, Jud, I couldn’t tell you what choice to make. You just have to be able to live with yourself after making it.”

“That’s stupid.” Jud breathed.

“What?”

“I didn’t come here for a wise guy speech, Langstrom, I came here so God would fucking fucking speak to me again!”

“You come to confession. The Lord speaks to you through me. Am I not sufficient? Are you not pleased with your answer? Because I’ll doubt you’ll find a different one. ”

Jud stepped out of the booth, the door slamming on its squeaky hinges behind him. His footsteps pounded loudly as he fled the scene. He half expected Langstrom to chase after him, to beg him to come back, but Langstrom's voice was nowhere to be heard.

Just Jud, alone, again.

He got onto his bike and raced back to his Parish,  mud streaking his slacks. Flashes of Benoit & Philip infested his mind, and with every attempt to push them away, they came back stronger.

Forgive us our trespasses, he recited, his legs straining from the sheer force he was pumping the pedals with. As we forgive those who trespass against us.

Another flash, this time of Benoit kissing him.

Lead us not into temptation, he pleaded, the lights of Our Lady of Fortitude finally coming into sight. But deliver us from evil.

“Father Jud?” A voice called out into the dark.

Jud whipped his head around in search of the source, causing his bike to slip out from under him and launching Jud into the wet mud. That voice, that fucking voice.

He rolled over, finding he’d made it to the entrance of his church. He took a ragged breath, standing slowly and groaning at the new ache in his ankle from where the bike had caught it.

“Are you alright?” The voice was closer now, its source all too clear.

Benoit approached, looking as much a vision as he ever did in his fine tailored suit. Crystalite blue eyes looking at him concerningly, hand outstretched to Jud. Benoit, and his perfect clothes, Benoit, who had no concern of the price of his sins, no care for the stains they left. The worst part of himself resented him for it. Jud glared at him, wiping mud off of his face. When Benoit took his final steps and gently placed a kind hand on Jud’s shoulder, Jud pushed it off and shoulder checked Blanc on his way into the church, smearing the mud across his bright tan suit.

“Jud!” Benoid yelled tiredly, following him. Jud kept moving, tracking his mud all the way to the altar, where he threw himself on his knees. Head low, he whispered prayers to himself, begging God to hear him, begging God to appear, for the Lord to give him any sign he was with him now.

Nothing.

Why have you forsaken me?!” Jud shouted, desperate.

Still, nothing.

Jud sighed. He could give up, too. For now. If God was not here, if he refused to show up, Jud could walk away. He did receive permission, after all.

He turned, seeing Benoit staring down at him from a few feet away.

“Doesn’t this scare you, Blanc? Why are you here?”

“I’m here to see a friend, Father, and no,” The man responded, coming closer. “Not much scares me these days.”

“You said I was like copper.” Jud said, standing to meet him. “Do you remember? Shining above it all, you said.”

“I do recall.” He nodded. “Jud, what’s wrong? I hate to see you like this.”

You are what’s wrong Benoit! I am like copper, you were right about that. But I’m not all shiny anymore, detective, no-“ Jud laughed madly. “I’m all worn down. Like the salt of the Atlantic wore at Lady Liberty, you have wore at me, day after day, night after night, dream after fucking dream. And now, I’m unrecognizable. Just a- a monument to my failed self control.”

Jud’s breath came in heavy pants. He looked up and saw Benoit smiling.

“Those are awfully big words for you, Jud. That sounds more like something I would say.”

“Is this funny to you?”

“No, no.” Benoit shook his head, expression softening. “It’s really not, Father. I do hate seeing you so upset. It’s just- why didn’t you just ask, if you’re saying what I think you are.”

“You- you have a husband!” Jud threw his arms out in exasperation. “I’m a priest. I’m going insane, Benoit, because I cannot have you and God.”

“Do you see God now, Jud? Is he in the room with us?” Benoit took his face softly in his palm. Jud flinched, but the detective simply pressed into his skin more firmly, coming to his ear to whisper, “You think too much.”

Jud wanted to yell at him again, wanted to find the strength to walk away, but lost his resolve entirely when he met Benoit's eyes.

“Let me take care of you, darling.” Benoit punctuated the words with a nip at Jud’s ear, and the boy moaned pathetically.

“I-“. Benoit trailed his lips down Jud’s neck, seemingly unphazed by the mud splattered against his skin. Once he got to his pulse point, he bit down softly. “Oh, Blanc, I can’t say no.”

Benoit pulled back, trailing his hand to Jud's throat and squeezing once, softly. “I don’t want you to, Father.”

Jud’s pupils blew at the touch, lips parted softly and staring all too hopelessly at him. Intrigued, Benoit ran a finger across his lips. Jud immediately dropped his jaw, letting the detective slip his fingers in his mouth.

“Oh,” Benoit chuckled darkly. “You’d just let me do anything to you, wouldn’t you?”

Jud nodded weakly, mumbling a please around his mouthful. Benoit took his fingers away, replacing them with a kiss.

It was harsh, rough, and filled with the longing Jud had been carrying around for weeks. The two tumbled down onto the steps in their rush, Benoit sure to keep himself parked on top of the priest, intent on exploring every possible bit of the boy's mouth with his tongue. He shrugged off his jacket and got to work on Jud’s clothes, growing increasingly impatient with the amount of goddamn buttons on the priest's black button down.

“Too goddamn many-“ he complained, pulling away to focus.

“You have a lot of buttons yourself, Blanc.” Jud mumbled, expression slap happy. Benoit drank in the expression, letting it fuel his ego.

“I’m gonna destroy you, boy.” He mumbled, pulling Jud’s shirt back and throwing his own over his head.

“You already have.” Jud replied, clawing his fingers at Blanc's belt.

“I thought I was supposed to be taking care of you.” Benoit made to stop him but Jud clutched the metal tightly, unrelenting.

“This is taking care of me.” He pleaded. “Please let me do this.”

Benoit raised his hands in surrender, not needing to be told twice. The boy was a vision to behold, covered in dirt and frantically pulling his cock out of his boxers. It sprung out, lightly tapping against Jud’s face. Jud actually smiled at that and wasted no time in taking the length in mouth, moaning around it.

“Fuck,” The older man hissed, sliding his fingers into the boys hair. Jud moaned again, hastily bobbing up and down on him, swirling his tongue as he went. He was a man starved, and now that he had what he needed in sight, was intent on taking as much of it as he wanted. Just when he thought it couldn’t get better, Benoit held his face in place while he thrust as deep as he could. Jud choked around him, his own cock throbbing in his pants.

“You’re so good at that, Father.” Benoit sighed. The honorific alone was enough to make Jud moan. “You like that? You like being a good priest for me, Jud?”

Blanc kept on steadily thrusting into Jud’s mouth, reveling in the way the boy was drooling over him, his chocolate eyes gazing lovingly up at Benoit. Blanc released his grip on the boy, leaning back in his elbows to properly take him in.

“Yessss,” Benoit kept his eyes on him as he took over. Jud wrapped his long fingers around Benoit's cock, swallowing roughly. Giving into his lust, figuring he’d already gone far enough to go back now, Jud rubbed Benoit's cock against his cheek and gave it a good slap on his face before continuing. The pressure in Jud's dick felt like it was at a breaking point though he hadn’t been touched at all, save the friction of his still-on slacks.

“God, Jud you’re worse than I thought.” Benoit breathed, smiling. “Just begging me to defile you, huh?”

Jud moaned loudly at that, removing his lips from the detective cock and helping away, breathing heavily.

“Oh my God,” he groaned mortified, looking down at the rapidly deflating erection in his pants. Even in his sin, he subconsciously apologized for taking his Lord's name in vain. “Shit!”

“Did you-“

“Yeah, yeah it’s-“ Jud's face burned. “It’s been a long time.”

“Oh, darling, it’s alright.”

“I’ve waited so long, Blanc, I don’t want to stop now.” He whined.

“Well, I don’t want to assume exactly how far you’d like to go but… I can definitely work with you in the state you’re in.”

Blanc eyed him hungrily, and it took Jud a moment to realize what he meant.

Oh.”

Benoit nodded, sliding his hands up the smooth fabric around Jud’s thighs. He grazed his belt buckle softly, just barely undoing it.

“Of course, we don’t have to-“

“Shut up, Blanc.”

Benoit hummed and stripped the slacks off of him, spreading his legs wide across the stairs and kissing softly up his thighs. He took his time, ignoring Jud’s pitiful whimpers and pleads, sucking and nipping along the flesh until the priest was half hard again.

“Have you done this before?” He muttered, looking up at the disheveled boy.

Jud nodded, month dry. “Yeah, a long time ago. I can handle it, I promise.”

“Yeah?” Blanc smiled against his skin. “Gonna be a good priest and take it for me?”

Jud's dick swelled at that and a whine escaped the back of his throat. “Benoit, if you keep talking like that, I’ll cum before you can get inside of me. Again.”

“Do you happen to have lube in this parish?”

“No, no, but… I might have something else.” Jud made to stand, but Benoit pushed him down firmly.

“Tell me where and I’ll get it. You just stay right here and wait for me.”

Jud gave Benoit directions to the bottle of lotion left on Wick's desk, and the detective dutifully went off in search of it. While he was gone, Jud tried not to think too hard about the fact that they were about to consummate on the front stops of the parish, underneath the barren imprint of the cross. That was fitting though, he thought, because there was no God here tonight.

As if he’d never left, Benoit returned with the lotion in hand and a dangerous gleam in his eye.

“Flip over, darling.” He said, and Jud obliged.

At the first finger, Jud made a noise of discontentment, quickly silenced by a second digit thrust into him. Once he adjusted to the burn, he asked for more, and Benoit gave him four, causing Jud to choke a little bit on his breath.

“Good boy,” Benoit soothed, rubbing his back. “You can take it.”

“Fuck Benoit,” Jud sighed, face pressed against cheap red carpet. “Please fuck me already.”

Jud hadn’t realized Blanc had been ready and waiting. The detective pressed into him gently hardly a second after removing his fingers, and Jud cried out.

“Quiet, father.” Benoit breathed into his neck, after gathering Jud’s arms and pulling him up against his chest. “You wouldn’t want your flock to know what their priest gets up to after hours, would you?”

Jud let out an unintelligible noise, feeling finally full. After all those nights, all those long long nights he’d deprived himself of even his own measlesy touch, he was rendered speechless by the feel of Blanc finally inside of him. Beautiful, beautiful Blanc, charming, sexy, honey ladened Blanc, giving him his full attention. Fucking Jud and liking it, and if that was wrong, oh God, he didn’t want to be right.

Blanc picked up his pace, giving Jud long, hard thrusts. Seeming to understand the priest's state, he continued, lazily dragging his hand down and across Jud’s chest to his stomach, teasing the happy trail that led to his throbbing erection.

“Do you know how hard it’s been for me, Father? Watching you look at me with those fucking eyes is torture, Jud. You’re so beautiful. Especially when you’re a mess.”

He was pounding right into Jud's prostate now, and the hall was filled with the sounds of his obscene moaning.

“You’re perfect like this, Jud. A pretty little mess, all for me.”

Blanc wrapped his hand around Jud’s cock, sending him over the edge.

“Good, good boy,” Benoit praised, fucking him all the way through it. Jud's spend coated his stomach, Blanc's hand, and splattered onto the carpet. Jud didn’t know he had it in him, really, that much cum pent up even after he’d finished once already. He briefly wondered where Benoits cum would end up, and his next words escaped him before he’d finished the thought in his head.

“Please cum inside me.” Jud whispered.

Fuck!” Blanc growled, losing control and slamming one last time into Jud, emptying himself just as requested.

Jud tipped his head back to rest in Blanc's chest, the pair panting heavily in tandem. Eventually, Blanc released his grip on Jud’s arms, bringing his own to circle his waist tightly instead. They ended up laying back down, this time notably not on the stairs, but somewhat comfortably on the ground. Benoit ran steadying hands up and down Jud's body, pressing kisses into his hairline and whispering good, so good’s into his ear.

Jud was fucking exhausted, so when Benoit asked his next question, he was caught off guard.

“Are you going to be alright?”

The words came so softly and almost, dare Jud think it, nervously. Benoit wasn’t nervous often. It was then Jud realized his confession of- lust, love, whatever it was, wasn’t the kindest. He’d practically told the man he thought himself worthless just for desiring him.

Jud flipped to face him, pressing a kiss on his cheek.

“Only if you see me again.”

Blanc snorted. “I’ll be seeing you, Jud. We can debate over which context you mean, but if you mean this-“ he gestured between them. “Why, I could be amenable to that.”

“What about-“ Jud hesitated, but Benoit raised a brow, and Jud could never deny him for long. “What about your husband?”

“Oh, son, I’m a fifty seven year old gay man. You haven’t figured out that me and my husband are swingers? Or open or polyamorous or whatever the hell else your generation calls it.

Jud thought back to his interactions with the couple earlier that day, piecing it together.

“Oh my God,” he breathed in disbelief. “He knew. He knew I wanted to fuck you.”

Benoit laughed heartily. “Darling, any gay man with even only one eye to see could gather as much.”
