John's heart was practically trying to escape the confines of his chest. Even when he stopped to breathe it didn't seem to matter, he could hear that damn rhythm in his ears. The commotion coming from his beloved team arguing about how shit this mission had gone. John knew and saw everything go down but right now he felt like he was an outsider in his own body. His ears were ringing causing his inner walls to feel like they would collapse on him and he'd go deaf but it wasn't just that, they hurt like he had an ear infection.
He didn't attend to stare like a psychopath looking for it's next victim. His vision was blurry, like he was seeing for the first time again. He had curled himself into a corner on the helicopter, hugging his knees like he was a scared kid between two arguing parents (which in this case would just be the other Thunderbolts) Bob had been the only one to not raise his voice just to be walked over with louder and more braver voices. He felt too small in this quite spacious well- space. He tried to focus on his phone, doing fuck all and not being able to have headphones to mellow out all the yelling and whatever else. He was scrunched up in his chair, clearly not comfortable in position despite all the things going on at once. Bob managed to glance at the blonde.
Bob took notice of the way John was moving, the way his chest rose like it would collapse after each inhale. Taking a moment to just stare at his phone screen at whatever game he was probably playing and desperately trying to get his thoughts all together despite the loud surroundings. He wanted to get up, to go over to Walker but it was just his luck that the current argument was heavily focused on the area he was in, unfortunately being jammed in the middle of the communication.
He'd never been one to stand up for really anyone because he was scared of his own voice at the end of the day. Scared of conflict so much he couldn't count the times he believed he'd die due to the cause of it. He tried so hard to help others but he couldn't even help himself so, what was the point? He stared back at John, noticing the dramatic change in behavior and the sudden cold breeze from the door to the helicopter but before anything could happen Bob jumped to his feet and dashed over to John, wrapping himself around him and knocking each other to the ground. The door closed with a click on command as John wiggled in Bob's grip.
They both seemed phased, this actually managing to gain the attention of the thunderbolts enough to make them stop arguing and grumble.
"John—What the fuck?!" Yelena yelled her voice cracking a little causing her to clear her throat and awkwardly slouch into herself out of embarrassment. But her glare stayed strong.
Bucky was making sure the door actually shut since you know, being in the sky and all. Ava seemed to genuinely feel bad having be she was also a cause of his distress but she could also notice that John wasn't enjoying himself here.
"Guys, just give him some space." She huddled herself in between the two as of way of barging, exchanging some puppy like pleading among them. They both just ended up sighing and going back to their seats, each clearly worried.
Meanwhile John was having his own problems. He felt like he was on the verge of death itself or some sick inbetween, everything upset him.
