"Aren't y'all a little old for trick or treating?" Valerie asked.
Danny, Tucker, and Sam had come to the Nasty Burger together to see their fourth queer-platonic partner, Valerie, while she was stuck working at Nasty Burger on Halloween. Luckily, the restaurant wasn't super crowded, so she had plenty of time to chat.
Valerie was wearing her work uniform, while they were dressed as their favorite Teen Titans- Danny as Robin, Tucker as Cyborg, and Sam as Raven.
"C'mon, I know you love Cyborg!" Tucker punctuated his statement by flexing his muscles, showing off his impressive replica of Cyborg's robotic enhancements.
"I do, but we're sixteen now. Isn't dressing up a little childish?"
"Nah, anyone can dress up on Halloween. It's fun!" Danny said.
"Plus, cosplay is a thing, you know," Sam added. "Lots of adults dress up for those nerd conventions Tucker likes."
"Hey! You liked making these cosplays with me. You would probably love going to a convention, Sam," Tucker said as he wrapped an arm around her shoulders.
"Pass. I remember how the last convention we went to turned out." Sam glared at him, but didn't try to get out of Tucker's hold.
"What happened in San Diego wasn't even that bad."
"From what you've told me, it was pretty bad," Valerie said. "Anyways, what do y'all have planned for tonight?"
Before they could answer, a loud group of people entered the restaurant. When Danny turned toward them, he initially felt a stab of jealousy at how amazing their Teen Titans costumes looked. But as he kept looking, he started to think that maybe, just maybe-
"Well, look who it is!" Robin-the real Robin- said as he walked up to Danny and his partners. "Nice costumes!"
"H-hi," Danny stammered, starstruck. Next to him, Sam stared at Raven with huge eyes, and Tucker gaped at the Cyborg. Only Valerie managed to keep her cool.
Danny, Tucker, and Sam's home-made costumes paled in comparison to the real deal right in front of them. There were a lot of details wrong on Danny's Robin suit. Sam's cloak was the completely wrong shade of purple. Tucker's costume was the closest, but he was about a foot shorter than the real Cyborg.
"Y'all seem cool, mind if we sit together?" Cyborg asked, and Danny thought Tucker was close to fainting.
"Sure, let's grab a big table," Sam managed to respond, but the slight shake in her voice betrayed her excitement.
Danny noticed her blushing when Raven nodded at her, but chose not to say anything.
And that's how Danny, Sam, Tucker, and Valerie spent Halloween with the Teen Titans.
